So is it a case of Gripper, Quaife or M Factory then? I would like to get a Wavetrac if i can, but don't think they do one. Is the Gripper more aggressive?
Do i have a choice lol? Between you and @OssPoop i think i will have to go lol. When is it again? Any track time left? You know my car is s**t right?! haha
Lol in the message you sent me it was 165mm haha that must be a typo lol i was thinking to myself seems a bit big haha.
Louis car looks good just go all out and get Bilsteins you know you want to!
Yer from the conversation on the phone i had with him he seems decent, i will probably give him a chance but will have to do it end of next month rather then next week.
Spoke to Jamie at J tech today as per @Cub. and @masekwm advice. The price i got back was bit of a shock tbh, it was double most of the other places i had spoken to so far. I think i will have a think about it tonight and go back to him tomorrow. I have had a few parts arrive today, not...
Do you care about vibrations and noise etc etc or do you want some form of comfort? It all comes down to personal preferences some people can handle a race car as a daily lol.
It's 100% worthwhile refreshing the bushes/suspension. I am in the middle of doing it all myself. I can't comment on the complete pack, but generally they are pretty decent. What kind of driving do you do? Whats the car used for?
I used to work in body shops and this is how i would do it. I would also recommend the G4 good results, easy to apply and lasts a while. You can also use the old heat gun trick and that brings the colour right back.
* Remove and clean the grill, use some degreaser or IPA
* Key the surface...
I swear i have seen your car at ED before when i been dropping mine off. I haven't been out in the demo car yet need Andy to take me out! Hope it goes well mate.
Well you hardly ever drive yours so not much point anyways hahaha, once you go out in one that will be it trust me lol.
I think you maybe onto something, got home today and took the rear lights out. The pictures speak for themselves. I did try to clean up the right one, but i think i will just replace and see if this sorts it. If someone can tell me how to de-pin the connector that would be awesome! Someone has...
What i mean is setting up the geo for like a fast road setup kind of thing. I haven't heard about issues with the Renault mounts, not saying i don't believe you. I did hear they were redesigned is that the one with the spacer then? What problems do they have?
So before i went on holiday the car was flickering with the STOP and battery lights on and off. I was told it would be the alternator so i swapped it for a new one. When it was fitted i still had the lights coming on under hard acceleration. I think the plug wasn't in properly and since i took...
Anyone who has been reading my project thread will know the car is going through a major suspension overhaul in the coming weeks. I will list the parts and questions out below:
* New ABS rings
* New CV boots maybe joints
* New steering arms and gaiters
* Bilstein B14s
* New top mounts front &...
I will have to come up your way then so you can buy me it personally ha! Not sure if i will be attending many shows this year, but see what i can do would like to get out on track. More updates later today/tomorrow.
Haven't even received them yet ha, i'll have a MacDonalds tho ;)
Thanks for the heads up, I will order some of those then they sound really good. Might get some of that ACF-50 stuff as well.
So today after work i went and visited @colesy all i can say is wow lol the scenery and roads around...
@Dr Jekyll do you have any recommendations for protection? I noticed your covers which i may order some, did you cable tie them to the show as well? What is the best for thread coating?
There is a free way to test the TDC sensor. If you have the car running and then jiggle the wire for it and it cuts out or something happens then you know thats the problem. If not its probably alright. Renault did change the design with a new type of plug so you can check if it has that.
They do indeed Steve, they do indeed! Hopefully all this suspension work will make a big difference, atm when breaking from moderate to high speed the car can pull quite hard in either direction and the back end wants to come around! Also when going for an overtake for example if the road is a...
Yer i believe they do so no worries there.
Don't you just love it when you get a box from Germany? To say im a little excited is an understatement lol.
Being off work is never a good thing because you end up spending all day online looking at car parts. I have now just ordered the Bilsteins and made a list of all the other parts i want to buy in the next week or so. I want to replace all bushes and suspension components so if i miss anything...
Well haven't updated this much, haven't had much to update really. I have been on holiday and training etc so haven't been massively using the car. Before i went away i did notice the battery and stop lights were occasional flickering away on the dash. With a bit of research people were saying...
