I got the rear mount off e bay new for about 7 quid but then didnt like the look of it and added some Sikaflex to effectively polybush it up. And as mentioned above the bolts will be well stuck in ,so give them a good soaking in wd or similar and just give them a little tighten first before you...
My 2 turned up a day after I ordered, bargain.
As for the pressures, in the wet I always start off at road temperatures, do about 7-8 laps come in ,adjust down , another 7-8 laps, adjust again, usually settling about 33-35psi on front and 30ish on back.
Just another mite to add re .tyres,I...
Yeah thought so, I think I still might well have 2 of the R1r in 195/50/15's for £109 delivered though. Bargain price for very good tyres. Get em quick before they hike the price or run out of stock.
I did check against your pricelist that you sent me the other day George but didnt think you'd be able to pricematch at £38 delivered. I will however be coming to you for my trackpads in the very near future.
Ordered 2 sets of Brembo HC front discs this morning off of E Bay from AZ car parts in Wakefield . £37.80 a pair. Very cheap and a good deal. All paid for now and on their way. These discs were listed as Megane discs but were the correct part numbers for clios ( 09.8137.24 ). Having found this...

+1 for toyo R1R as a wet tyre. Fine in the dry as well as long as your sessions arnt stupidly long. Did a day at Donington National with them and they didnt cook up.
888's are great if already warmed up and then it starts to rain, but a bugger if a little low on tread and raining from the...
Have used 888's down to the point where they are pretty much slicks before now, still stick like s##t to a blanket. Might be worth getting the balance checked before you put them on though.
Ok, before I got my clio cup, I had an Almera gti ( dont laugh , fantastic little car ), a similar discussion to this was on the owners club forum. One owner went to town on his car and stipped it as much as he could to trackday it....
Sound deadening tar from under carpet 16kg
Reduced weight...
Nankang ns2r....have tried them recently on the rear only at both Brands Indy and Donington. For the money and for the rear which obviously isnt worked as hard as the fronts they are perfectly good track tyres. Had the 120 tread wear compounds which is supposedly competition only .
I am used...
A mates been trackdaying a Clio for about a year now,and I,ve just bought a 172 Cup to do the same ( stepping up from Almera gti ). He has pretty much done the lot to his, but brakes and tyres are the first things to get right.
Tyres-888,s or equivalent if possible, but if not ad08,s, rsr,s...
Thanks for the immediate welcomes, have just become a full member , so hope to really make good use of all the free info. Just going to dive into the classifieds now and see what bolt on goodies I dont really need but will want anyway.
Just thought I,d say hello and get my first post out of the way.
Bought a 52 reg 172 cup a couple of days ago. A friend owns one and we,re quite into our track days, and my Almera gti just cant cut it anymore so picked up the Clio as a daily drive/track tool. Has a couple of little issues which...
