There were a few grotesque creatures dotted around. Haha The flux babes were alright, except the uber fake tanned one

My last French car show, lets hear what you thought.

I didn't mind it too much. I didn't actually look at the other cars properly until about 3pm to be honest and having been there before 9. Being able to chill out and the track was fun until your engine dies haha.. I'm local though so it's no worries for me travelling to Combe

    Knocking/grumbling

A weird vibrating coming from underneath the car/ when you let off could be an exhaust mount as the rubbers usually perish. At a guess

Wheel Rubbing on Horn whilst Turning (and few other issues)

Hi All My Clio was involved in a front impact accident and is now running back on the road. I drove it to work fine this morning, except for the bonnet not closing.. 1) Now I've resolved that problem, unsure but probably coincidence, now the passenger/nearside front wheel rubs/grinds when...

Here goes. Dead clio pics inside.

Your new 172 looks pretty smart and I'm not exactly a fan of the Mk1s! Always sucks losing a car! I had a bit of neck pain after my impact but I did a 10km run with it, stupid but hey!

    Simple alternator tightening

I've tried searching , YouTube, Google images etc but I am still unsure how to tighten up the tension of an alternator belt on a 172 cup, I know it should be piss easy but I'm not overly confident. Please can someone send a guide with images as they really help, or a video etc etc. which...

The Southwest monthly big meet at Exeter - 2nd friday of the month - 8:30pm

Interesting drive there involving a 2L diesel Astra van, me and the dials reading somewhat near "half 3" but but the way back was so weird. There was this old skoda thing who came flying past as I cruised home so I matched his speed on dual carriage way, then on the dual lane roundabout on...

The Southwest monthly big meet at Exeter - 2nd friday of the month - 8:30pm

Is it still the "Guardian Road, Exeter Business Park, Exeter, EX1 3PE" location? Decisions. Either a 2 hour drive from work which'll get me there at 7-7:30pm ish (91 miles) as I'll finish work at 5pm. Or a 98.5 mile drive from home at 2hours 8min (After a 26 mile drive home totalling 124.5...

    High Mile Phobia

My current is on 103,000 and had one MOT sheet and a couple of service pages, nothing before 88k (which is when it had a cambelt change) As long as you have it serviced and all that in your ownership it's all good

Clio Cup vs Heavily modified Volvo v70

Definitely be interesting to see, I was in a stripped out 2L 300bhp golf mk2 on Sunday which felt fast because of the amount of wheelspin and speed, but this has a hell of a lot more torque

Clio Cup vs Heavily modified Volvo v70

Haha Lee, it's the Ryan guy who commented on my Facebook status about iphone chargers. Picking it up on Sunday. "Gay gold" as he puts it I posted this thread to him so feel free to insult!

Clio Cup vs Heavily modified Volvo v70

Here's two images of the car, the colour makes it look quite fancy. If it was one of those plain silver ones now that would be a proper sleeper! But insane figures on the standard turbo still I believe. Yup had a look, think it's minimum 202 bhp/tonne. Whereas mine is about 160-162/tonne

Clio Cup vs Heavily modified Volvo v70

Yeah looking at yours already, http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/reviews/facts-and-figures/volvo/s40/saloon-2004/29039/ The standard 2.5 T5 already beats the Cup off the line, and that's only with 216bhp let alone 277

Clio Cup vs Heavily modified Volvo v70

I've been told to include that this volvo also has uprated coilovers, uprated ARB and bigger brakes which would also help its handling, but it sounds like I may be able to throw around mine a bit more because it weighs almost half a tonne less

Clio Cup vs Heavily modified Volvo v70

Hi as you know the Clio 172 cup is the fastest thing in the planet. Anyway a friend is getting a highly modified fwd volvo v70r (1996)which has apparently over 300bhp and possibly over 400nm torque. In all comparisons of speed, his is faster with claims of 0-60 in under 5.5 and all that, but...

My Clio photoshop for future project

Yes some good long opinions! I don't really fancy going all out with modifying the clio with smoothing and all that but they do they look cool missing all those bits. Yeah shame it's always gotta be so expensive - but tis only an idea. I still like green wheels on blue cars but it needs to...

My Clio photoshop for future project

Hi All here is a picture of my original clio. Here is a picture of a photoshop I made I'm not sure if I should give it a go going down that route. Tonight I turned my fogs yellow with lamin-x stuff which was quite easy. The featured stuff is like - smoothed aerial and washer jets, lowered...

    Washer jet on blades

Hi all. What car wiper blades are compatible for a cup that feature washer jets on them? Also how effective will these be? Internet is far too slow to search and google didn't show what was compatible
