Steve (the red flamer) fitted Recaro sportsters from capital seating, The standard 197 / 200 recaro's have welded subframes so you would need to cut them about a fair bit to fit them into a ph1 / ph2 as the seats with frames sit very very high compared to standard 172 / 182 interior.
We're turning our 172 into a works van,
Now the plan is to make it look a bit "rough" on the outside but underneath it will be very capable.
Does anyone know of any steel wheels that would be suitable as a direct fit? They will need to be the same width (or very similar) to standard 172...
I would never buy a windows PC again either!
I don't have a macbook but own several macs for work and they are superb!! Will be getting a Macbook in the next few weeks i think!
These sound like what you need! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=130665046452
common problem mate! Have a read of the description as it explains it!
Russ @ Midlands car care is great but he's fully booked until the end of September!
You might be able to find a local "part time" detailer who would do it.
I bet you would spend £200 on everything you would need anyway!
Be very careful and read up first.
Outside is fine but not in hot weather or rain lol.
By the time you'v bought all the products / pads / polishes you would probably be best to get someone who knows what they are doing to do it for a few ££.
There's a civic tyre round here, Not sure what system it has but it's so f**king loud, Makes evo's sounds like a golf tdi. Not a nice sound though.
Ads 182 was very loud at the RR day !
I think you could fix it for 15k + the price of the car but I'm no expert lol!
There's all sorts of bits that add up, The carbon fibre wings are knocking on for £400-500 each! I bet the xenons are more, that's without the bumper, bonnet, airbags, ecu reset , door, suspension, paint, bent...
This is well worth ruling out mate: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RENAULT-Clio-MK2-Top-Strut-Knocking-Fix-x2-Washers-1-2-1-4-1-6-1-5dci-2-0-Sport-/130665046452?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1e6c3e61b4
The parts are worth alot of money, I don't think that car would be repairable (not if you want to make money anyway) as the front end is mental money along with the wheels!
I'm still alive!!!!
They don't understeer if you have the correct tyres fitted! Audi changed the tyres from conti's to Michelins mid production and fitted wider tyres to the front than the back. It's very difficult to understeer, I have had it once but that was when i was pushing to get it.
That's why I'm going to get the 172 in a road worthy state! A few track days would be a good start!
Edit,
Iv'e changed my mind, The 172 needs about 2k spending on it to get it roadworthy so i may aswell by a 172 cup with half of the work done!
I'd love to have a go but i think i need to learn how to drive properly on track first!
This has given me some inspiration to get working on my 172 though!

You would be able to drive one from "some" dealer, I had the same trouble when car shopping as garages have massive excesses on their insurance policies so if you crash they pay!
I test drove a C63 AMG & RS3 / R8 at 20 lol! , Just got to find a trusting dealer..
