Power wise nothing drastic, just a 2.5" custom Mugen exhaust system and Mugen intake. I doubt it makes more than 190bhp, though I've never had it dyno'd.
Most of the work I've done is on the suspension. They handle brilliantly standard but there's always room for improvement. Recently polybushed...
Ah yeah, forgot the Endless pads were blue too! I haven't tried those no, I'm quite happy with the Blues tbh for the price I can get them in England!
Where did you spot my car? It was in a couple of YouTube vids, one being chased by an R8 on my first lap and one chasing a classic Mini round...
What do you mean?
I had hoped it would make the front and rears sit even like it did on my 320d, but I still have a sagging arse and a big front arch gap.
Oil control rings and valve stem oil seals are needed, but it still makes good power and that so I'm in no rush!
Going to stop buying Nanodrive though, Fuschs it is!
Had a bit of bad luck with the pads. Driving through Belgium on the way to Spa I heard a few funny noises from the back, took my caliper off and found my inner offside rear pad was worn down almost to the metal, the rest of the pads had a fair few mm on. Having a mate with us who spoke a bit of...
Nothing new to report no, still need to get that xenon washer cover sprayed and fitted! Still a lovely car, really did enjoy driving it to work this morning.
One thing I noticed this morning though which I never have before is how high the seating position is. I've spent a week in my Integra so...
Morning all,
I spent last week visiting Spa Francorchamps and the Nurburgring in my DC2. 1600 miles in total, 10 litres of oil, and 3 sets of brake pads. Honestly, the best trip I've ever done.
I'm waiting for my mate to upload his pictures of the day so I can do a trip report similar to what I...
Looks s**t Jason.
M Sports (god I hate that term) did appear on very late E46s. My mates 330cd was an "M Sport" (cringe) on a 55 plate.
I don't know if I'll ever own a 2005 onwards BMW for that reason. :kissingsmiling:
Inlet cam sensor replaced yesterday, car feels much better through the gears!
So that explains the initial performance issues, now I just need to find out where this intermittent niggle is coming from..
Not since its last Inspection 2 I doubt. Its been serviced at BMW all its life. I had the plugs out tonight for a look and they all looked fine. I swapped the plug from cylinder 3 into cylinder 1 and vice versa, and swapped the coilpack from cyl 3 into cyl 2 and vice versa. Hopefully this will...
Actually didn't need the top up after all, but good to have just in case!
Finally got INPA working tonight, none of the codes were showing an obvious cause, but the "rough" test showed cylinder 3 wasn't running all that well. Most likely it will need an ignition coil, Bosch ones are £21 from...
Got some better pics at last,

I'll probably do the test to be honest. I was speaking to Jord on here about it earlier. In short there are so many grey areas surrounding it, its probably just better to be safe than sorry. You might get away with it, but you might not. I wish it was clearer...
I think if you look at it with...
For what you paid? ;) ;)
I think you'll regret selling it Tim. I can't think of anything that could replace it!
They really suit Sports, yes. I was sick of seeing ES/SE cars advertised with MV2s though when I was looking! Just the other day when driving this I saw another ES/SE with MV2s on it...
I know what you're saying about the tints, the rear ones I can see being useful for when I'm filling the car up for trackdays and that, not that I like the look of them. It'll probably look odd with none on the front and the back all blacked too, so I'll have to have a think what to do.
Thanks...
Hello all,
Long time no post, but I've just got another E46! So I thought it was time to get back involved with the UKs best E46 forum - ClioSport.net.
It's been almost 3 years since I sold my last E46, an Estoril Blue 320d Sport bought from none other than Sir_Dave on here. I loved that car...
As you say, pretty smooth. It's only on Toyo Proxes so they tyres do let go quite easily. Was a handful at times but still very very fast on track, not a lot could keep up with it and only one car passed (Mx5 cup car!)
As above, Toyo Proxes T1R. They came with the car. I slated them heavily...
Morning all,
I've put together another track day video, in my own style. Since many of you liked my Croft video I thought I better get this one posted too! :)
Enjoy!
Also, bonus content for those on Facebook - I put this together last night:
Cheers
Dan
The main problem in a clio for me was seating positing. In both the ITRs the stock driving position is excellent - exactly as you want. The Clio was more like you were sat on it, not in it.
Clio's are very capable cars, but at the last track day I was on there were 3 172 Cups, and I was faster...
