I had an Astra when I was 17 too and bloody loved it. Mine was the 1.8 Astra G, felt like a rocketship!
Though at 18 you've no excuses, that's when I had my PH1!
You get the feeling this is a proper Nissan car, not a Renault like the Juke and Qasqai or however its spelt.
Looking forward to it being on sale at the same time as the new Type R too.
I'm really happy with the exhaust note at the moment, but unfortunately the baffles are going in my Mugen backbox :(
thanks mate! with regard to the M3 driver I don't remember noticing him being sat close!
Morning all!!
Haven't been onto CS for a while. Haven't really been onto any forums for a while as I had some (involuntary) time off work, but back to it now so I wanted to share what I've been up to with the DC2.
Changes since the last time I posted include some lovely Spoon 4 pot calipers...
They feel very different. It's hard to decide which one's faster isn't it lol. Sure the Hondas feel faster but I wouldn't want to call it.
LSD is fine. Revs are at abour 3300rpm at 70, I believe the standard gearing puts them at about 3000rpm?
There's a guy in Wakefield who can do the same, just haven't got around to it yet. Wouldn't want to pay that much though! I only paid £95 for a full track setup on my DC2 lol.
It's a bit like this E46 M3 I've seen. The colour combo isn't my favourite but the receipts etc for work it's had is...
Exactly. These guys are nuts man.
Or maybe we're the nuts ones :rasp: though I'm happy to be the nuts ones with the better cars :o
Yeah mine has a few polybushes. Anti Roll bar and lower front wishbones. Love the way they drive.
I went to get a 4WA done but the gauges wouldn't fit over my...
That's the problem.
For example I thought I'd stick the car on the M3cutters forum for a possible PX and they made me state a price... easy, I stated £3k.
That caused a bit of an uproar lol. Problem is a rare enthusiasts car like this is worth whatever someone is willing to pay, and whatever...
There are some out there with S50s and S54s in them, but you will need to pretty much just buy a full M3 to do the conversion as you need the engine, axles, box, wiring etc.
It would be cool, but you'd lose so much money.
Thanks mate. I've always had a feeling for an E46 M3, ever since I had...
I've calmed down a bit from the initial "OMG I WANT AN M3" hype I had the past couple of weeks. After all, it took me 2 years to get the perfect E36 lol.
Well I took the car out tonight to get some pictures to use in a For Sale advert. I've been lusting over an E46 M3 for the past few weeks, and with insurance renewal time coming up I need to make a decision fast.
After seeing the pics from today though, I'm really in two minds about what to...
Can of worms there stating a Mini is a nicer place to sit! My mother had an R53 when they were new ish. Some of the quality of the trim inside certainly wasn't to shout about.
Polishing with seamen? You've lost me there.
I'm not sure on his methods, but he works for a very reputable chain. Had I had that done through the books, it would have cost me double what I paid.
He didn't want me taking pictures of customer cars but some of the metal in there was awesome.
Further investigation and it's probably the inner CV thats making the noise. There's a chance it was fitted dry, I bought it from a breakers and never thought to check. DO'H! Never mind.
The best DC2 is without a doubt a Type Rx 98 spec JDM. Although I'd take a good condition 96 spec over a...
