The are shite with stop start short trips.
My x2 197's (first was an early 06 plate, current is a 08 plate cup) average around 28/30 mpg. Thats living in the sticks on average 20 mile round trip on a/b roads.
The MPG is no worse than a EP3. Similar performance/size.
Nice base mate
ITG panel filter. Give a wee bit more induction noise, drop in and forget it. Look at some H&R springs, give a nice drop for a reasonable price. I'd also look at a remap, even on a stock set up, cold start behaviour is much improved. I've got a fastchip one on mine. Rate it tbh...
Good man!
Exactly. Think 172 /182. The cupped 200's have a quicker rack which is nice, harder suspension 1st/2nd/3rd are a wee bit shorter to help it launch. Other than that, meh imo. The 200 fan bois will tell you different, but there are good and bad ones like all RS Clios
Nope, still in the shed, debating what to do. I need to get a quote first really. You cant get hold of them at the mo, ktec wont have any for 6 weeks iirc. Shame that ;)
Gay, 200 diffusers are pony. 197 ones look wider, thus better ;)
Yeah they ill straight swap into a MK3 no probs, however they will might bring up the airbag light as the 197 units have an extra one over your standard seats. Nothing Clip cant sort though
My GW 197 has been a bit negated lately so going to give it a a bit of love in the next few weeks. Looking around I see this tough coat is rated on light colour finishes.
Im not as massively anal as some on here. To decontaminate, I would usually wash, rinse, tardis, rinse, iron x, rinse...
Gaytek do an open ik. At the moment it's the best thing since sliced bread. In a few months it'll be worthless as they will probably crumble to bits like most of their own brand tat?
Possibly. You get similar mpg/performance out of an ep3, yet somehow that's acceptable. Mine have both sat at 28/29 mpg over a tank from full to fumes. That's ok IMO
Best colour, so underrated on here. In the flesh, freshly waxed its awesome. Don't ruin it with spacers and stuck on "aero kit" tat..... Spoiler if you must ;)
remap is a must IMO, even on a stock motor.
I properly love my 197..... Still. It's my second, and will have had it three years come September. Properly love the way you can grapple it round a good twisty B road. Build is acceptable, have awesome road presence. Engine sings above 5k, and touch wood both boxes in mine have been spot on...
