Damn. I quite like them but if they are drawing power I may have to put the originals back in, unless there is a way of changing them so they don't? As the car is sat stationary and off the road currently I don't want the battery being drained
Put an LED bulb in the two interior lights (big one and map reading one) and the main one looks like it is constantly on. It is like a dull blue glow, but then you turn the light on there is a difference and it properly lights up
Is this true? As a low resistance bulb still drawing power, or am...
That is true, I can leave the car in a state at the end of the day. The new one is doing me well thanks!!!
I initially thought satin, but a few people have talked me around to a gloss finish, although realistically I have another week before I am ready to paint, this weekend is prep work.
Have not solved the leaky car problem :rage: first time I've seen the car in a month and the drivers foot we'll had some water in, not as bad as I was expecting so my clearing out of the wiper scuttle drain points sort of worked! Might need to do it again.
I've just started it up, seems to be...
My list of pet hates could span a while.... But the worst is kids who think stupid camber and stretched tyres are good and don't affect the handling.
But each to their own really, just don't try and make me change my car!
I'm expecting an extra 5.415bhp that will improve lap times by 3.814% 😂😂
Yes I know they will be doing nothing apart from looking cool. But I just didn't want to have them looking wrong and some square come up to me and say they are at the wrong angle to get maximum...
They are more for show really, but I sort of want them to look like they will do something!
Yes, I saw the one CM Composites make, it linked me when I was watching the canards on eBay, but it is a little too much really. I am not going to be chasing times, so it may be a waste of money. I could...
Had a quick look on the forum, but after some advice on fitting them. Also going to do a full system drain and bleed.
So after advice/tips when replacing them? What order to bleed them in? Have a Gunsun EazyBleed kit, so that should help.
And what is likely to break when unding things so I know...
Because race car innit!
I have some canards I am fitting, these ones from eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-Clio-172-182-Canards-Aero-/281821806951?hash=item419de38167
Was going to copy the picture in them for placement, but what angle roughly? 45deg? Also drill the bumper for the rivets...
@Adam D you hero. It now works!! Although I was a bit confused using the router's old username and password so weirdly thought that I was logging into my old account and was going to get charged!
Although my PC has decided to not have its wifi card anymore so I have to re-install the drivers...
Oh, I wasn't doing it correct then. As my computer was connecting to the old wifi network, I must have missed a setting when I was logged into the old router trying to set it up.
Yeah that is what I want, a wireless network in the flat that is jumped from the main router. Will give this a go...
I have an old router but it doesn't work what I want it to do. I will have a look at that in a bit, as I know Scan are a bit pricey, especially their postage!
I need to get a wifi extender as I am currently using a wired connection for my PC but would like the wifi for my phone and other stuff.
The set up I currently have is:
A wired connection direct from the router as wfi doesn't reach my flat. The router is in my land lords house, I live in a...
Some "updates"...aka it was my birthday yesterday and I was a very lucky boy and got some nice goodies:
Bradied brake lines
Aero Cannards, #BecauseRaceCar. These will definately add 3.647bhp
Next weekend is set aside for working on the car, aim to get the canards fitted and strip it out...
You're a guy so there is no desire to FB stalk.
When I start working on mine I am sure the motivation will be there. It's my birthday Saturday and I have asked for some nice car parts so that will get my arse into gear at least!!!
Really...my little Ph2 which is never washed or cleaned??! I'd...
I was not stalking you on FB honest! Just saw it on the CS owners page. The car looked familiar as it had boot aero catches, but I couldn't remeber which one!
You got yours back on the road before I have even started tinkering with mine....I am going to have to get my arse into gear. In my...
.....leaving the 500 Abarth standing! I was going to join in the humiliation of the 500 but then realised I wasn't in my 172 and in the daily 1.4 :weary:
Looking smart though! Made me realise how much I miss driving mine daily and I need to get it back on the road sooner than next summer
* Even more weight loss from the inside + painting it a dark grey
* Braided brake lines
* Coil overs
* Solid Engine mounts
* Poly bushing the front end (if I have time and money left!)
It's been left at my parents for a few weeks now and I haven't touched it as I was away for two weekends with...
How easy is it to remove the tar stuff? I need to do it on mine before I paint the interior, which I want to start later this month
Also like your attitude in removing the front carpets! That's how I removed mine, I was doing another job and decided the front carpets needed a clean so I...
My 172 had buckets and harnesses and that was a daily drive for 2 years (it's now a track car again). I enjoyed driving it with them, but as you said there are practical issues.....ticket machines, toll booths, reduced visibility as it is harder to move about..... But they do improve the driving...
Wouldn't do the seats if it is a daily drive or have no intention of putting it on the track. Keep them standard
I would say a race style steering wheel, they look pretty cool.
What colour callipers? If they are a bold colour could use it as an accent colour, like on the door bullets
Yes. It's a tight fit. But you need to put it over the front passenger seat like Dangerous Dave said.
And also wrap it up in a towel or something to avoid damage to the bumper and interior.
I got a bath in a Fiat Cinquecento before, and a boot lid of a Triumph 2000. Not at the same time though
