You have to be really trusting if you want to believe them IMO as if that goes wrong then it is very expensive. I personally would walk away.
As said history is everything. I'm at 166k miles and I have a massive stash of receipts from the previous owner and I have added to that. Everything is...
Ok...so.....I had tried a few system restored, uninstall iTunes and that but nothing. Managed to get the router reset and it is all fine!
I am not sure what the problem was, but I ma thinking that unpdating iTunes had caused a clash with the network settings and maybe something i had done plus a...
Computer - yes, server all times. It needed to be restarted to make some of the IP changes and resets. I also did a basic restore to last week when everything was fine.
Router - no, I can't get into the main house! I am hoping it will either sort itself out over night or with a router restart...
Laptop is dead and I don't have a charger for it. Did go for a wonder in the garden and connected my phone to the wifi and it was either reallllly slow or it has got the same problem.
I can't log into the router, I can force reset the password as the "admin" "changeme" password doesn't work...
Ok now iTunes is causing my CPU to go mental so what I apparently "fixed" isn't working.
But I can't help but wonder if updating iTunes, it causing my CPU to go mental and not being able to get onto the Internet are all linked. I am more annoyed about the lack of Internet
Updated iTunes yesterday, all fine. Then today my CPU was being dominated by photostream.exe (or something similar) and I couldn't access the Internet, despite being connected. Solved the CPU issue with a simple google search. But I still can't get onto the Internet, although I am connected! It...
Previous track cars I have owned didn't have PAS.....Triumph 2000 and a Mk1 Fiesta. Didn't noticed it on track, but did at slow speeds pulling onto and off the track. I will not comment on the Triumph's other handling "issues" lol
The main reason I am getting some.
If the car has been in a wind tunnel and has a body design that has been designed with aero dynamics in mind then they will make an improvement, but a Renault Clio.....I dount it. But as you said, they do look cool and IMO add to the "Race Car" look.
If the car is very standard and OEM then silver, or a darker silver, but not anthracite. The black works on DannyR's as it has a few extra things like the mirrors being black and a cage.
if it is a track toy then the colour has to be full yobo and in your face....but that is just my opinion!
of course there is a difference......#BecauseRaceCar.
I was under the impression that to ge the most out of a front splitter / rear diffuser the car has to be slammed with a flat floor, but don't quote me on that!
Also the canards look cool therefore increase performance by 34.574% and I will...
Thanks!! I want braided brake lines and most of the interior painted by the end of November. Then coil overs done by February, and then engine mounts I may take it to a garage to do when it is legal again. I can only work on the car at the weekends as it is not with me and I will have to see my...
Yeah I don't see the point of keeping it taxed when it is off the road not being used for a long period of time.
The insurance is going to lapse at the end of the month, need to look at insuring it as an "item" and not a vehicle on the road. I have a new policy on the new daily drive to keep my...
Car iasn't in Reading, it's near Gloucester at my parent's. Mainly so I can get help from my brother! All the jobs I want to do he has already done on his old track car so he knows what he is doing!
Actually have the confirmation e-mail now and it says this:
So that is until I tax it again...
:anguished: wuuuuuut??! If it gets to that stage then something has gone wrong with the work I am planning on doing as it should be on the road well before this time next year
So I did the Forge Action day on the weekend. It's been 2 years since I was last on track so was a little nervous. I am a "sensible" track driver as I back off for corners and let quite a few people past to calm the nerves.
It was a really good day! Have missed abusing cars on the track. Went...
Yep, the car is tucked away on my Dad's drive
So will I get a reminder in a year to SORN or tax it? But hopefully it will be back on the road in 6 months, I just didnt want to wast emoney on the tax when it is not on the road
I have just SORN'd my Clio, and I haven't done it before.
It is SORN'd until I tax it or sell it isn't it?
And I have paid of 6 months tax, about 4 months left on it, how will I get my refund? Is it a cheque int he post or is it a bank transfer/refund thing? I was paying the 6month Direct...
Was there any pictures taken? Or anyone know of any websites to find any? I want to see my questionable lines through Quary! I got it right once after copying someone the following lap when no one was in front or behind me!
Good day out though, going to miss it for the winter as the car is now...
Someone was actually black flagged at Combe?! In all the times I have been I have never seen a black flag and some people have deserved it. The number of time I have seen cars drift every corner lap after lap in normal sessions and not be flagged. And people nipping past through the chicanes up...
Yeah wipers have to come off to remove the scuttle.
All I could find was a little gromet under the heater thing about the size of a 2p which has a flap on it. I took it out and have it a clean and the rest of that bit of body work for leaves etc. it's just that flap is easily opened if you pour...
Did you pour water down the scuttle? Or have you removed it and checked? As I had the same issue last month and it turned out to be a blocked drain plug under the wiper scuttle. But when I took it out I found that if you pour water into it the force would open the little flap up even though...
I had a similar problem with my rad last year deciding not to hold any water....the small plastic blanking plug ont he side was fubar. But this seemed very hard to find at short notice! I did find a Ph1 Exclusive at the local scrappy and that didnt have a rad with a blanking plug on! So I found...
I also like the fact you can hide your car-boreness behind saying you own a "Clio". Like my friend owns an Imprezza (the wrong one) and owning that being a young guy IMO attracts the "boy racer yob" label to anyone who isn't interested in cars. He also doesn't help his case by acting like one...
Had a bit of injector fail and running on 3 cylinders last week after I left it for a week in the rain. Somehow sorted it self out but the EML stayed on, so got the codes read. There were two faults: "Injector Circuit Open Cylinder 1" and "Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire".
But a bit of a...
