You don't need a pic we've just told you where it is and what it looks like! it has an electrical connector on top of it and 2 10mm bolts holding it on.

The small one is the air temp sensor and the bigger one on the LHS as you're looking at it is the MAP (pressure) sensor

Mine used to do that before I changed the IACV.. Though mine had a hole in the housing which caused an air leak sometimes. Its on the back of the inlet manifold near the TB. I think from memory its above the OR in sport.

I would hazard a guess that your IAC valve is dirty and sticking/ struggling to move fast enough

Yes :S It's only a 2.0 in a car that weighs ~1050kg. Not exactly mission impossible! If someone can't get above 30mpg and they're not ragging it everywhere or sitting in traffic doing start stop all the time then I'd say there's something wrong with their car...

As above - if you're scrapping it don't worry about it and just have a go.

How do you work that one out? 50l tank = 11 gallons 400 / 11 = 36 MPG. Perfectly achievable unless you drive like a cnut everywhere or sit in a lot of town traffic.

Motorsportworld usually have the magnecor ones for a fair price. They do a blue version 8mm and red version 8.5mm. Either will be fine.

The symptoms you have described do sound like it's running on 3 cylinders - coupled with the fact that 1 ht lead wasn't on properly and you've found an object in the spark plug hole... I'd sort that out then see if it's ok.

And neither of them say that 5.1 is racing only?

pistonheads link just has a load of people getting mixed up between dot 5 and 5.1. I'd be interested to see a proper technical article saying 4 is better than 5.1.

yep Might take you a few goes with a few adjustments to the coathanger but you should be able to get it

Sounds like it might be the innards of someone's spark plug socket. As above - very long nosed pliers to get it out. or a hoover. I've even used a wire coat hanger before!

I don't see anything in there which suggests dot 4 is better than 5.1? (It could be that it's late and i'm tired..)
