All sorted now cheers fellas. Would have been a much quicker job if the old gasket stuck to the water pump and not the block! Turns out there was nothing wrong with the old water pump at all, it must have been leaking from the old gasket.

Yes will get a new belt. And a tub of type D. Excellent so its pretty easy to get to then just bumper and light out of the way. Thanks for your reply.

So my water pump ate itself on the way home last night.. How much do I have to take off to change it ? Had a new alternator and aux belt kit ~200 miles ago but will probably put a new belt on. Can I just relieve belt tension and lower the engine with the wheel and arch liner off and get to it...

Yesterday I swapped the injector on cylinder 3 as it had decided it doesn't want to work when its cold. Today I fitted a btb exhaust.

I'm still laughing at the 0-60. How is it possible to be that slow its tiny!

Ive only done ~10 miles so far so I'll report back once I've done a few hundred on them. Don't think they'll last long they only come with 7mm on and the rubber feels super soft. But that's why I bought em lol

I know what you mean but grey/black wheels on a silver car is full of fail. And grey/black wheels in 15s make them look even smaller. So its silver or nothing IMO.

Put some ultraleggeras on with a set of yokohomoa AD08r tyres (came out last week to replace the AD08) So with the alternator and aux kit I've spent in excess of the value of the car... Banger motoring FTL! But I'm not sure I like the wheels so they may go straight in the for sale section :(

This little lot: New alternator, aux belt kit, millers nanodrive oil, filter, washer, new arch liner and a few other bits... Was a shame to put the alternator on the car as it was so shiny LOL

The alternator is the right one (110a) volt Meter confirms its duff. Aye I rang Adam who gave me a price, I've got one on the way from the for sale section on the way, hopefully it will last another 9 months LOL.

It will more than likely be your alternator. I had the same problem And my alternator smelled of burning. Put another alternator on and it was fine

When ticking over the battery light comes on and when at low revs when adding electrical load (lights and fans etc) I'm pretty sure the alternator is dead as I had this problem around 9 months ago and I swapped the alternator and it was fine again. I took the alternator to a repair place and...

Awful tyres IMO. Shocking wet grip and sidewalls are very soft - can feel the tyre rolling around. A friend has even worn half the writing off the sidewalls before..

Oh and today I replaced the washer pump for the second time in just over a year. Genuine renault one this time though.

I didn't use a plastic one cos I intended to swap the whole driveshaft but once i'd got it out I found out the replacement was no good so had to try and find somewhere with a replacement gaiter in stock at 4pm... Renault didn't have one and the only other place that said they had a proper one in...

Yeah they are... You can't buy the same colour as the seats as they are a bit blue. Darker grey would have been better but still wouldn't match for that reason which is why I am gonna dye them black to match my headlining. They're just normal ones mate that have been sprayed titanium.

Diy retrimmed my a pillars with some alcantara. Not perfect but not bad for a first attempt. Gonna dye em black to match my headlining too.

Bought a desire sample from Matthew, want to see what all the fuss is about. Doubt it will tempt me away from sealants though!
