So the people slateing ktec and their power figures have suddenly gone quiet while they can't figure mine and Mik86's results havent been inflated (along with the hundreds of other cars that exist but havent seen this thread / don't go on cliosport / don't care)
Standard from the factory. Ive pulled apart a couple of untouched factory F4R's both had a shocking amount of beige silicon in the pickup (the standard sealant used by renault on the main cap). tut tut renault.
I made miniscule gains on my 438 cams, one could argue why Ktec didnt inflate my figures when i walked out with a ~5bhp gain with their new hot off the shelf cams when most people would expect 10-15bhp? Certainly no inflation going on there..
In stock form, my car made more at Surrey than Ktec, go figure.
But i tend to agree the superflows do seem generous, i put my faith in DynoDYnamics rollers.
The meggy ports are small than F4R as shown in pics, i grinded out the manifold to adapt it to fit (was on my Meggy F7R beforehand), you can port match it well enough but i could never get it to seal well because the manifold bolts holes are all in different places.
IF Jenvey show F4R and Meggy...
A day of refurbing valves ensues! I always find the exh valves of every F4R engine i've seen are always reasonably pitted on the exhaust valve, takes a considerable amount of time in a drill and lapping to get them back to perfecto :)
The engine should be 90% built by tommorow :)
