Oy! I'm not an old git!
Always better to underestimate peoples reactions. Then take em for a spin and blow their minds!
Look out for her on track next year!
Peter:)
Ah yes, the eternal question: Uprated single plenum, dual trophy plenum, or ITBs?
Well the first option is currently top of the agenda but nothing is decided yet. Going to drive the flippin thing for a while and have a think. Maybe start saving! LOL!;)
Peter:)
Not finalised yet, but its going to be expensive!:dapprove:
Pure guesswork below....
Porting
Cams
Injectors
All new / Piggypack ECU
Gotta be done tho! Should be nippy!
Peter:D
And yes I know she's not clean. I like her more when she's dirty! And my drive is not prefectly level but you get the idea. Only gone 1cm lower. Fully adjustable KW v3 setup. Currently set softish damping both ways for road use. Handles like a dream!
Before fitting. Ooh shiney! Suites...
I seats are indeed recaro sportster CS. I have them in my Vee in leather and suede. Yummy!
I am not "large of 4RSE" and they are figure hugging for me so i can easily imagine cloth on the side bolsters wearing badly... :dapprove:
Peter
The thing people always forget is that the handling of a Vee is a challenge. Its harder to drive well. I needs finesse and skill. Smooth inputs. A skilled driver will be MUCH faster in a Vee than any standard CUP etc in ANY conditions. Many on here will be slower but its not the car its the...
Or splash out on some new AP radial mount calipers like i fitted, to clear a (grooved) disc and bell setup. Hubba hubba. You can even have a matching yellow bell! ;)
Just after fitting! I know its grubby! ;)
They may still be 4 pots, but trust me they are amazing in...
Mk2 Vee - 285g/km
08-09 £400
09-10 £440
10-11 £455
Feckers! Looks like a diesel with initial low emissions, but modded with a massive turbo, intercooler etc is in order in future! LOL
Peter :)
Remarkably easy to live with.
Only downsides
~ 20MPG
Very low bumper so ramps / speed humps are an issue
Turning circle makes mini-roundabout U turns impossible, and some multi-story car parks a pain.
But it makes me smile every day when I get in to drive to / from work. It is genuinely...
More v haters. Boring! :-(
From memory and a quick google:
Standard cars!
Focus ST 6.5 to 60
v6 mk1 6.4 to 60
v6 mk2 5.8 to 60
So real world the ST would beat a mk1 due to better spread of torque unless the vee was ready in the correct gear. BUT a mk2 would significantly pull away...
Please don't be put off by something as minor as the turning circle. Its a proper sports car! A poor turning circle is VERY common on proper sports cars. When they are setting up the suspension its just not a priority! Would you rather have the bigger 18 inch wheels that look better and provide...
IMO its a unique ownership proposition.
It is NOT that expensive to run as a daily driver compared to similarly rare mid engined RWD sports cars.
If your a badge snob steer clear, but otherwise if you can't afford a 911 then get one.
Yes the steering lock is pants, and there not much...
True, I know that for sure as on another forum we are trying to get them to quote a price for a full system at the moment!;)
Looks like an old style QS back box to me. AFAIK only Janspeed (in this country) do a full system off the shelf.
Peter:D
Cheers for all the nice comments guys.:approve:
She is getting there these days. Just needs a new smaller "OEM look" steering wheel and a few more engine mods and she is how she should have rolled out of the factory in dieppe!
Peter:)
Supportive Seats at last! No more hanging onto the wheel!
Now the interior looks as good as the exterior!
Anyone wanna buy some standard front seats!;)
Uprated Front Brakes
Just after fitting! I know its grubby! ;)
Now she stops rather sharpish...
