As some have said the 172cup is better bang for your buck but the Vee is in a whole different league when you look at the bigger picture.
They look amazing.
They are rare as feck!
They sound amazing.
They are very quick without thrashing the engine.
At sensible speeds they handle...
"same category of car":S
One is a small hatchback. Mid engined. Rear wheel drive. 3ltr V6 N/A.
One is a mid-sized 4 door saloon. Front engine. 4 wheel drive. 2ltr inline4 turbo.
They are totally different cars!
Peter:rolleyes:
As I said lots of good accurate stuff in the post BUT some was totally wrong. I'm not arguing about the info on the Renault. BUT the Subaru servicing is MORE money for each service and they are MORE often, both in time and mileage terms. Hence when comparing cars saying the Vee "Servicing is...
A lot of truth there but the servicing part is rubbish. Intervals on the V6 are longer and services are cheaper!
UK Scoob turbo's have a 6months service interval! I owned one for 3 years so know the intervals! The Vee is every year or 12K miles! Plus the Subaru maindealer services prices are...
Well I have owned both a modified scoob and now a V6 255.
Totally different cars. Take one for a test drive don't rely on others views. TBH far too much biased rubbish is spouted about the V6.
Have a look at one in the flesh, take it for a long test drive and you'll either love it or look...
Love it! But I am biased!;)
The V6 is for someone who likes to be different! There REALLY is no car from a mainstream manufacturer to compare! :approve:
Peter:D
I owed a modified classic shape impreza turbo (RR'ed at 270bhp & 270 lb/ft) before my mk2 V6, so felt I had to add my views here.
After mods the scoob was faster, but thats not the point.
You buy a V6 because of the whole package, not just straight line speed / acceleration.
It is MID...
Sorted!
Back to plan A.
Booked with Scott at renaultsportV6.com to swap for a nearly new zorst on Monday
Lesson for all - Renault main dealers haven't got a clue!
Peter
Not Happy!!!!
Unbelievable!!!!!!!
Was hoping to pick my car up today after waiting 2 weeks for Renault to make a new exhaust and ship it in from France. However today they have informed me they have taken my old one off and found I was correct after all and it had been patched! And because...
Anyone noticed any power gains running on 97RON(Super), 98RON(Optimax) or even Tesco 99RON?
As per username my car is a V6, but ive come from turbo-land where this gets debated all the time.
My user-manual helpfully states 95 or 98 (preferable).
Cheers
Peter:)
Just had some good news from the Renault garage! :)
The V6 zorst is covered by the warranty for 3 years so will be replaced for free! Hurrah! Well Done Renault! :D
It amazes me that you can buy a s/steel "sports" back box with the all important lifetime guarantee (take a hint Renault:@) for £450, or pay over twice as much for an inferior item from Renault. Plus they charge £60 per hour (+ VAT) labour to fit it. Bleedin daylight robbery!
Ditto hog1s...
Cheers hog1, TRW1, 137699 (nice name! ;)), and others! :D
Spoke to Scott and I might be getting hog1s old zorst.
Value at last!
Still going to talk to Renault tho. Worth a punt for a freebie!
Cheers
Peter:D

Seems like a much better option.
Ok, ill wait a bit then call. Cheers! ;)
Anyone else got any comments?
Has anyone else on here had a zorst fail yet on a mk2? Seems poor quality from Renault for a s/steel zorst to fail in less than 2 years.:(
