As above saw a 172 Exclusive parked outside the Portsmouth Uni student union, looked clean.
When driving home I then saw a flamer ph2 pulling into shall just before the m275, had 2 black wheels and 2 silver?
Anyone?
I don't think you'll get a 197 for 2k as you said in your op, so I would forget that idea. As others have said, get the nicest example of a 182 or 172, don't specifically look for one model IMO.
Ahh, sorry my mistake.
Yer they were pretty badly kerbed, extremely flat finish and had a lot of baked on brake dust. I prefer turini's anyway, although I like the look of 15" td1.2's in silver.
That's a fair point. If your preference is the Clio, then it is, but some people earlier were saying the fiesta was rubbish and boring. Which it isn't, they are both very evenly matched, which ever is your preference is an opinion and that's fair enough.
I don't understand why people can't appreciate another car just because they don't own it?
If you prefer N/A and the revs that come with it, then fair enough your going to like the Clio, but surely you can appreciate that the ford is a good car in it's own right? Plus you have to remember all...
I disagree, I think he is just showing a comparison of mid rang poke, when your going down a back road, you don't want to be at redline all the time day to day, you want to be able to use the mid range torque as demonstrated here.
As I said in my original post, I do think it would be...
I get the point your making, but surely in the real world you would be dropping a gear or two in both cars if you were going for it?
I'd be interested to see more comparisons of that nature.
He isn't a "rude boi" it's just an unlucky photo. He drives it as you would expect, sometimes normal, but once it's warm he gives it some stick occasionally. It's a hot hatch after all.
Springs are only a 20mm drop from standard, so yeah quite high. I had a 172 cup on coil overs before hand and...
They are every similar, but back to back with the same driving on the same roads the Clio is 1 or 2 mpg better. I get around 33-34, he gets more like 32. Not anything noticeable in it, but worth mentioning I thought
Thanks for the comments :)
The 182 has cat cams and a few other breathing mods, only had a play with the fiesta before the mountune and it was even once the clio was above 5k rpm, with it having a very slight edge above 6k, but as you'd expect the fiesta is miles faster at lower revs. If you...
Hi,
I don't post many threads on here, but me and a friend went out for a little drive Tuesday night as it was nice and warm. As both cars were relatively clean and I had just put on my new Renault sport badge we decided to take a few pics, enjoy:
I'm really impressed with the new...
Glad your enjoying it! Had a look through your thread and it looks a very clean example.
Must be a huge change in character from the lupo, from the smallest hot hatch about to a mid size sports saloon in one hit.
I know the subject of these badges has been covered a thousand times, but I'm torn between the Clio 197 style Renault sport badge, and the Clio 200 RS style. What are people's opinions, and which do you prefer?
Car in question is a RB 182 btw.
Cheers guys.
Moved from Clio Discussion - please...
Not buying either, just odd that those cars fall into the same price bracket isn't it, considering the mini is nearly 4 years older and higher milage.
The French always seem to represent such good value for money, I think that's why I've always had them.
When you think about the period rivals...
