If the repairs good you couldn't complain at 4k for it, break down of parts if it was a dog and you broke it -
Seats £900.00
Dampers springs £1000
Spoiler £250
Engine £500
Gearbox £300
Alloys & tyres £500
Could use it for a year and get your money back in parts!
Parada spec 2's are a good tyre for the money, more caution needed in the wet than other tyres but for £150 for a set of x4 delivered you cant complain for road use, there not ideal for a track use though!
PH1 172's & early PH2 172's run larger exhaust ports than the later PH2 172 & 182
From the pictures it looks pretty ghetto but they may just be bad angles from your pics
I saw this at ace cafe over the winter months, Spoke with the original owner which I assume was previous to you? at the time he said the engine was far from healthy, New engine will hopefully bring it back to good order ;)
Looking good mate, needs some skoda love & your done! Give the springs a couple of days & the height will be lower, normally 10-15mm..
Nick & Ollie, thought you two were track boys now! Detailings for poofs! ( although I mopped my hole car & headlights too with the body shops next doors...
Seems every one has there own method of set-up but the following has worked well for me on the FK Koni adjustable coilovers
Damper settings -
Track day / Dry = Front 0% Stiff >> Rear - 85% Stiff
Track day / Damp = Front 0% stiff >> Rear - 15% stiff
Track day / Wet & standing...

Good old shires meet returns :approve:
Two problems though, 6pm is rush hour and most we'll only have just got home from work at that time, second issue, any driving routes are going to be busy untill 9:30pm onwards so start time of 7:30 maybe better?
( James showing off his area rep'n...
Have only seen this once, Speedo sensor fault, Have a look over the back of the engine and check to see if you have a speedo sensor coming out of the box, seen a few PH2 172's including mine use the same set-up as the PH1 172/ PH2 Cup for speedo readings
Anything listed on the faults?
Could...
Good work on the pictures guys
Cracking meet & the run after :approve:
JMS brackets & racing cell cage, Matt's car made very impressive power/torque considering its still on standard cams & inlet manifold
Detailing's a strange one, there are a fair amount of people out there that will pay £200-300 for paint correction, problem is that those that know/care about correction would only use an established company due to the risk's involved, Insurance etc
Imagine the cost of repairing a Liquid...
As above, Unless test were back to back against standard set-up I'm finding it hard to believe.
Seems a low reading for Schrick cams, I've seen high 180's low 190's on lightly tuned cars
Hi Guys,
Strange to hear of the losses from our kit that your reporting, I assume the before results are not from the same day?
When we put the kit together it was tested on Tom's 182 at Torque of the devil back to back against the standard airbox (http://www.torqueofthedevil.com ) It was...
More than likely the map, We installed the 4-2-1 manifold on the 172 few weeks back & testing showed its not just a case of bolting on and obtaining the the same hp/torque as the 182
You wouldn't believe how many times i've heard that one.... 60% of the population must have a mechanic that works for Renault at home ;)
On the flip side he may be telling the truth.....
Sad times, but avoid calling your insurance, would be cheaper just to have the dent pulled if its minor, other wise if a claim goes through you'll have to declare it for 3 years & pay an excess
Very tidy tip, been thinking of something similar but just cant be arsed to spend a morning with the monkeys at powerflow trying to explain what i'm after lol
Nice work on the standard back box ;)
