    172 broken in to lastnight...

The thread's in here that comment on going to bed with keys, I would avoid, we had a customer who had a gun pulled on him in his own house for the keys to his car, if they want it that bad the'll take! Let them have it for £2k! In the op's case it just looks like vandals, f**king yobo's!

    182 mapping?

Really depends what your looking for, If your expecting breath taking performance then maybe not, But if your looking to really improve the drivability then yes, when we're building our RS works package (some time ago now) the 182 responded best to the calibration work over matched inlets/ JMS...

time for belts change.... do i do the dephaser pulley too??

As the points been raised already, look back in the past, ph1 172's never had major issue's with them, I would say 1/3 182's we have in for belt change needs a dephaser pulley, we got a tech note from Renault claiming poor oil changes were the cause, I've seen them fail from as little as 30k...

    Project 182

When Tom first started work on designing/ building the RS2 it was always designed/ tested to run on standard internals (cams/pistons/head etc) we've had major differences with the rs2 power out puts between cars, the first 5 cars all pulled 190+ at pauls (rstuning) sadly all the f4r's vary in...

    182 remap????

A calibration "map" on a standard car will add a couple of extra horses at the peak power end of the scale, what 90% of the people on here don't consider is the changes it makes to the entire power curve, especially the increase in torque below 5,000 rpm & the cold start improvements, as with...

    JMS RS2 Silver Cup

Can confirm this car is as tidy in the flesh as it is in the pictures! Lovely example which is becoming a rare thing as the age takes the toll on the 172's Glad your enjoying the RS2 Ollie, it's gets even better after the live calibration work ;) James

JMS RS2 before and after results

Do bare in mind the later 172's/ 182 had the cruise control fitted which for alot of owners is a nice feature. And as for "proper noise" i don't see why you feel the RS2 lacks there - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VE7XBNlA__k Yea good luck with that lasting more than 5 minutes ;)
