Phones4u are f**king me around, still no stock today. Have decided to order online from the same company (?!?!) to take advantage of the £60 cashback, I'll also be better off with the money from Mazuma. All win ... just wonder how long the backlog is with Phones4u!

On Orange you can lower it by £5 once in a contract ... I think the price given must be to buy out of the contract and then upgrade to the 4?

Re: iPhone 4 upgrade - who bought out of there contract??? Thing is, it works out better for me to pay up now and cancel, Phones4u are (allegedly) going to give me £150 for my 8Gb 3G ... new 16Gb costs £120. If I wait until next year, my iPhone wouldn't be worth £150!

Went to Phones4u today to collect my "order" which wasn't there. I kicked off a bit seeing as I went into the shop at 0720 this morning to pick it up to be told to come back in the afternoon as they've not arrived yet! Phoned up earlier to confirm they was in to be told "yes". :( The manager...

+1. At Lakeside today everyone was cheering and clapping ... the shop wasn't even going to open for another hour! They did all look like this though!!

Just got back from Lakeside - I guess around 100 people queuing outside the Apple store, I went straight into Phones4u (opened at 7 - before Apple!) to be told they aren't in stock yet - should arrive later on this morning. I now have to wait until I finish work! :(

I heard that the Regent Street store only had 561 handsets including the ones that were preordered!!

That maybe the case if you are buying the phone outright but I guess if you are on contract you'd probably keep it for the full 18 months / 2 years? I will be anyway ...

To be honest, I'm not fussed about any of the issues - if it's a problem then it'll get sorted by Apple. That's the best thing I like about Apple, they won't sod around with sending something off for repair, straight swap 99% of the time. Anyone going for Apple care? I think I may do this time!
