The original foam seal is the problem, it's basically a piece of sticky back foam tape (think number plate sticky pads) this is not capable of sealing when the plastic roof frame is subject to expansion in hot weather, warpage and general movement of the chassis. The mastic we use is perfect for...
Haha very good! You can always trust someone to be ignorant on here!! Yes Renault Clio sun roofs are crap to start with but when fixed they will not leak ever again. The non Renault way or the silicone sealer way will cause issues!!
Haha I just read my last post back, my grammar is amazing!!!... Not!
I blame my iPhone, yeah put some pics up and I'll do my best to help. I am very tempted to do a guide with pics, that way people can follow it alot better! :)
No those are supposed to be there, water is allowed to come through the seal around the glass, that is the purpose of the two drains in the corners. Yes the plastic part is the top part then the metal work of the car is sandwiched with the metal frame inside.
The only place it will be leaking...
Yeah it sucks ass that receptionist scare people away, if you get stuck and have to pay outta your own pocket then I can have a word and get the labour reduced. Failing that PM me for private ;)
Haha, I could do it blindfolded in 1.5 hours! Regardless of that it's renault book times for pump, belt kits and refilling! Obviously if it was a paying customer and not a warranty job the cost would be far less!
Makes me cringe when we charge 15mins labour to change megane light bulb that...
I think they quoted you for pas pump and aux belt kit, for a warranty repair it has to done by book times and codes so is it the actual garage who are paying or there warranty company? The noise sounds like a build up of pressure causing the pump the stool (pressure relief valve not doing its...
Ideal :) that's what I wanted to hear! I'm really liking the look of the stuff these guys are bringing out! Obviously slightly more road noise is expected but knocking does my head in!!
Has anyone fitted these yet? im 95% sure im going to get a set but my only concern is do they knock atall over heavy bumps? My original ones are knackered and I dont really want to replace them with something that makes as much noise as the original rubber pieces of tripe!!
Have seen very good...
Not been on here in a while - don't suppose there are any new developments in the tuning world is there?? F4R has got more to give just waiting for that special bolt on part to be made by some magician!!
Don't say boost or throttle bodies - bored of that! ;-)
Fair point, just a little less evasive in terms of being really easy to remove and fit. Prob best for sprint type purposes I recon. Would like to see it done though!!
Yea, was thinking the 182 would be a good one to do it to given the space at the back, nice stainless pipes, tig welded joints, nice silicone hoses. If mapped well could be a nice project!
Had a quick search, do you know if anyone has done is to their 1*2?
Just came across this, http://www.balancemotorsport.co.uk/products.asp?subcategory=rear+mount+turbocharging&category=turbocharging
If done right looks like it could be a laugh!! Wonder if anyone has done their Clio??
I have not been on CS for ages, getting fed up with the usual BHP arguments, turinis, whiteline, expensive as hell mods for .1 of a HP, etc
The Performance bucket is amazing, I'll look forward to opening Clio bonnets at work from now on :)
