My first set of p-zero's lasted 3500 - 4000 miles which I was gutted about, it did get fair abused tho! I put another set on the front and this time they seem to be lasting better. (have calmed my driving style down after getting used to it!) Had my tracking and camber all set up too, was very...
No worries! Yeah I'd be up for convoy, gotta play it by ear until we all go tho as I'm saving all my pennies for my Nürburgring trip, should be fine tho!!
I recommend renault stuff as I said it's tried and tested, I comes in a large roll, sorta like how blue tac comes, paper on one side that you peel off, it stops it sticking to itself!
Silicone is not fine, when silicone dries it dries to a shape, it may be flexible but it will not last, cars flex alot especially roofs. When the silicone has finally dried and the car twists and moves the silicone will peel away from the roof and just be a flexible non tacky substace that will...
Silicone is a BIG no!!! Can't stress that enough, it makes a shitty mess and never works or if it does for a couple weeks until it dries and then peels off from the roof, I hate doing these after some goon has siliconed it up!!
It's so easy to just do it properly, easy test is to 'tap' around...

Sounds big end to me, whip the sump off. At least drain the oil and look for swarf, bronze colour material! What a nightmare. Hope I'm wrong but defo worth checking the oil first!
You gotta be careful, there is a reason for the type of oil I.e trj, trz, trx if you use the wrong stuff the additives can eat away at the bronze etc in the box!
I have had a few where the vacuum pipe has melted from the heat off the manifold, happens on MOTs when trying to get through cat tests. Might be worth a look, can sometimes be hard to spot as the pipe sorta implodes on itself - usaully just down from where it connects to the inlet.
Don't think tinting would have the same effect as the ff ones are clear/smoked with red LEDs I think, tinting would just look dark surely?
Not massively bothered, just thought it would look nicer!
