Almost got to be worth it for ease of changing the cat over surely? Well if the engine is out that is.
@Bobby. and I did my cat the other day and its a right pig of a job!
Im almost 100% sure this has been covered recently but cant find the answer for some reason.
Recently my ph 172 has stopped starting on the first turn of the key. If i turn it a notch before 'crank' position then leave it for 10sec or so then start its fine.
Anyone know why it would have just...
I found pushing the trim in while sliding helped do the front and rear a lot easier. Although some jockey had silicone the old ones in places so had to break them, luckily I had ph2 ones to go on
Blow from the Mani to Cat fixed last night. Sounds a whole lot better now :)
Thanks goes out to Bobby. i owe you a few beers or something.
Right new 'to-do' list, seeing as every time i look at the car i add something else to it

Re: dmallett's indecisive clio thread! Monaco ph2 pg1+, Titanium ph1 pg31+, PB ph1 pg
Another project thread ive been following for ages and not posted in!
Love the black ph1, coming along nicely and looking forward to seeing the dash go in :)
Love this thread Scott, not posted as of yet but been following for a long time. very impressive!
Where did you get your engine cover and other silver plastics done?
Edit: I see dirty wires :rasp:
I'd say new cat!
Ive recently had the othr way round. thought to be cat, and exhaust. Replaced exhaust with a stealth cat back and another cat. Got better but would have still failed. changed the lamdba and jobs a good'un.
Try the cat first, they come up cheap enough.
Errrm standard one?? :)
Dont take this the wrong way but any exhaust on a 1.2 will sound pony! Also i urge you to save the money and put it towards an RS. Talking from experience here ;)
if you really have to then the k-tec stealth for base models isnt to bad...
Not going to get into a argument/debate, as this is usually the way these 'how much will it cost' threads go but i totally disagree.
Its all about shopping about, getting first hand experience reviews and looking for the best deal. The place i'd take mine would be M-tech in Hastings and have...
An hour drive? not that far surely? lol. I did a 5 hour round trip to get an exhaust the other day ;)
As Chip says though make sure your timing is spot on o its all pointless, saw a few at the Surrey RR day with this issue
