Well been lurking around here for a few weeks now so thought I should get round to starting a project thread for "Nicole".
This is a joint venture between me and my long time car Buddy Dave. We used to race competitively but gave that up some years back and now just tat around doing trackdays...
If your sure its the originals then they will be the standard size. If it was me and it was totally stripped I would spend the money and take it to a local engine builders just to get the mains and big ends miked up and ground if necessary.
And trying to be more positive this time.
If your crank journals have worn they will need to be reground, as the grinding process removes metal the bearings have to increase in size to take up the slack. Hence they are available in Standard, the size that would be fitted at the factory, 0.25mm...

Please don't buy these if you think they are going to be better than 888's they definitely are not!
BUT they are considerably cheaper and from my experience on my Alfa 147 Track Slag and that of my mate on his track car they are £ for £ much better value for money and give...
Looking for anyone in the Market Drayton Area with either CLIP or RS Tuner with the airbag module who could disable the airbags on our 182? Its not a road going car but happy to trailer it if your nearish and a few beer tokens await you!
For me it would come down to cost, it's a track car not a race car so "ultimate" grip isn't the be all and end all for me, having fun and keeping the cost reasonable. Just my two penneth worth.
My mate ran these for the first time on his Pug 206 GTi 180 at a Silverstone track day and ran all day with no issues. Grip level down slightly on the R888's were used to but for the money I rate them. In fact so much I stuck a set on my Alfa 147 2.0 TS Track Toy and ran at Oulton and Cadwell...
