Hi all,
The little white clip on the drivers side that holds the handbrake cable in the fuel tank groove has snapped.
Can’t find the part number or anything for it. Any help.
Picked up a second hand but brand new CMC splitter. Should help with making the car more aggressive looking
Ordered some splitter supports as well.
Cant wait to get this and the wheels fitted.
I’m in southam Warwickshire.
Gtechniq stuff is spot on and this will easily cover inside and out of the 15” with probably a bit spare for the exhaust tips as it’s heat resistance is amazing.
Love all gtechniq products but won’t really be detailing this car as its not a show car.
Will be...
Also after you’ve all made me paranoid I spoke to Andy at ed. He confirmed that the they replaced the cam and a map to suit, with the modifications 186bhp is about right.
Car runs very well so I’m quite happy. Not looking to increase its power I want it to be as reliable on track as possible...
Graham huge thanks for the pic. Anymore of the whole car then please share. No stud conversion so they should be good. I took a bit of a punt on the wheels thinking there link the 2118s so should look good. Hadn’t realise they were lighter so bonus.
Couple of small bits arrived before work this morning.
Some 3.3ohm resisters to hopefully get rid of some of the lights on the dash.
Also some Gtechniq C5 for when the new wheels arrive. this stuff is unbelievable and will hopefully help in keeping brake dust from sticking to the wheels after a...
What kind of figures would you expect. I thought 186 was quite good. I’ve got receipts of the work being done. Engine dynamics seem to be a decent company.
Busy evening. Had a few deliveries, some metal sprigot rings but no wheels grrr. Had a pair of lower ball joints arrive so thought I’d get them fitted. Hour and half later and viola.
New wheels and tyres have been ordered. cheap wheels but as they are being used for track i didnt want to spend alot as they will get trashed im sure.
I went for the Calibre Suzuka in gun metal with some 195/50/15 Toyo R888, I was going to get the R888r as they are meant to be epic in the dry...
Hello All,
so ive been a member on here for a few months, trailing the for sale adds hoping to get hold of a car i can use on track.
Finally I found a car with the right spec which I collected yesterday, and what a belter.
So here it is:
The spec is already quite good, it has the...
the idea is to use the car on track days however it will be road legal so it can be driven to the track.
my thoughts exactly on the ds1.11, i dont want to have to come in after 15 mins. currently has R888r so would be a shame for brakes to let it down.
will certainly be buying harnesses from a...
Hello All,
hopefully I will be a very happy man on Tuesday and will be the owner of a 182 track toy. the current owner has done a great job and the spec is almost what I would want for a road legal track car.
I'm trying to work out budget for a couple of bits I would like however I have some...
Ive just got rid of a mk1 golf gti so I know this very well. also its not going to be a daily so ill be able to spend time repairing, tinkering I just want one that has a strong engine and is rather cheap and standard that I can get up to the desired spec or one which is at the desired spec that...
thanks for the info, I never thought about the lack of a/c etc so its worth a thought.
so all of the warning lights associated with track modifications can be switched off using CLIP?
also what is 1*2 seen this loads and still cant work it out 😂
Sorry guys, this is a sort of which clio to get type of post.
still looking for a clio which will be used for track days but needs to be road legal so I can drive there. ill be wanted to take the car as close to a track car as possible but maintain an mot (luckily being a second car that will...
I had found quite a good specd car which I was meant to be viewing today. Full welded cage, buckets, coilovers, decent discs and pads and all the normal updates bushes etc for £3k. It was a low miles 182 but just couldn’t reach an agreement with the guy.
Really wanted to get atleast one track...
That’s a good watch and exactly what I did. Whittled down the choice of car to a clio and now just need to find one. My budget is £3k, what do you do buy standard and modify with new and used parts or buy one already at a decent level. I’m purely looking for a road legal track toy, I won’t be...
That’s exactly what I’m looking for, will give them a call.
I’m coming from a mk1 golf gti as a second car where classic car insurance was less than £150
Currently have multicar with mine and my wife’s car however noticed that being on separate policy’s cheaper this time round. It’s due end of the month.
I’ll give them a call and see about adding another car on which is modified.
Hello all,
Still on the hunt for a clio but it’s inevitable and I should have one soon. It will be purly for track days however I will need to drive it to and from the track and the old spin around to keep it ticking over.
You guys will know a lot more than I will so I’m hoping you can help...
