Not overly popular.. most dislike the colour of the leather. The paint colour is lush..and compliments the wheels really well. Like most 172's though, would benefit from being lowered slightly. Then they look really planted.. spot on!
As Daniel says.. 2.5k would be top dollar with that sort of milage.
Exclusives have Scarab Green paint, unique 15" BBS alloy wheels, dune grey full leather with matching door cards, leather steering wheel, cd head unit as well as the standard multi changer under the drivers seat, light grey...
Sunday afternoon was that? Heading South at about 15.15 - 15.30 ish..?
Sounds like 'Floe.90'. Would have been on his way back from the Renault Sport National meet. Full creme leather. Nice car!
Of course Lunar Grey isnt to everyones taste, like any other colour (or lack of before Ali starts again lol). Some times I wish I still had my Black Gold v6, as when that was waxed up it looked fantastic! But Lunar Grey is just such a different 'colour'. Looking at it in pictures just doesn't do...
Thanks for the kind comments, James and Christopher!.Much appreciated.
Its very underestimated colour and gets slated by some, unfairly I think. Always amazes me how much it changes colour depending on the light, sometimes dark grey sometimes light grey. In sunshine like yesterday, with the...
There it is!!!!!!
On a more original note.. ;) Thanks to Chris and Jeremy and their teams for another great Renault Sport National meet!! All over and done far too soon though it seemed. Great to see folk again after the long Winter months. Loved getting out in the car again, forgot how...
Couzens usually sorts a regular meet out.. give him a PM too, might be able to get a few more people together.
Alex.. think I saw you a few weeks back. Was traveling from Farnham to Milford through Elstead.
Have a good run up there you guys.. I'm going up the M25 - M40, meeting up with a few other v6's on the way.. Otherwise I'd be joining you instead.
See you there!! :)
But its not a 1600i though... thats the point.
RS1600i's are so much better looking and appealing compared to the XR3i, agreed.. But a car of this age and 'kudos' is worth more in original form surely.
He'd almost certainly get more money for it as an OEM XR3i, plus he'd get money from the sought after RS1600i parts sold separately wouldn't you think Richard?
Pretty cool I'd say as it isnt an XR3i
It's the much rarer 1600i in standard OEM form. Rare as hens teeth these days!
Not sure what, if any difference there was under the bonnet, but other differences that I'm aware of were that it had the RS wheels, seats, carpets and mats and steering wheel...
A very nice looking Sport. Congratulations on passing your test too!
Most folk here seem to think their 1*2 or 197/200 are Clio Sports.. They're not. They're a Renault Sport Clio. Made at Dieppe where the Trophy and Cup cars are made, along with other special project cars. An entirely different...
Looks like a great meet you sorted out there Ashley! Well done fella. Shame it was so far away for me, would have liked to have joined you all. Great pics too!
Appolgies for not being able to attend this.
Ryan.. so sorry m8, Had no idea the MOT had run out on the 172. Good job I dont use it very often, and dont rely on it eh! MOT is being done as I type this.. fingers crossed!! Its only done 4k in the past year, and it flew through last time.. so...
