    Trackday changes....

Last time we were at Donington together I was trying to drift round the outside of you round Coppice. Think you outdrag me down the straights but I have you in the twisties ;)

    Trackday changes....

This, you may be surprised at how good the car is as standard. Learn to drive with what you have first. MY 197 used to eat Donington GP circuit & this is renowned as a brake killer. If you run out of brakes you are on them too much ;)

All you gaming freaks D-Box, simualor driving.

Now I don't usually like simulated driving games & think most are crap & unreal. While at a show in the Dam I had to re assess my thoughts. Had a go in what can only be described as the most life like driving experience ever. Full on 3d simulator, paddle shift, sparco seat, momo wheel, bose...

    3D TV

Second option is where you should be. Plasma still pisses on the competition, fact. Muppets on here who say 'looks' better in yadayada shop, FFS keep quiet. 3d tv is fine you may never watch a 3d programme but at least you have the option. Don't shop on price look at 'real life' performance, a...

    Track wheels and tyres.

Why not take your car as it is. When you find out you cannot go any faster then spend money ;) Too many on here go mad & never see the benefits. Too many track prepared cars that have never seen a track :quiet: I prefer standard tyres as I enjoy finding the limits of my car, also more fun on the...

    Which brake pads?

Carbotech as good as it gets.

    Tyre question. Parada spec2.

This is what happens with lots of heat, hence I would avoid on track. The tread blocks literally fly off, not confidence inspiring. In the wet be prepared as not very good.

    Another trackday question

http://samotorsporttyres.com.au/federal/fz201 These are more expensive than RSR's but soooo sexy ;)

Track Tyres OR Springs, Shocks and Camber

I'm with Mark on this one. Prefer playful, controlled drifts/slides on standard tyres, running PE2s. The sticky stuff leads to too much confidence, that can end up with brown trouser moments due to speed when they let go:rasp: That said RSR's are really good value in fact I remember mentioning...

    £5k burning a hole...

Cheers mate glad I am not the only one. When I sold my Trophy buyer was amazed at the amount of oil changes etc etc hence I got a stupidly high price for it, almost free motoring for the three yrs of ownership. As for asking for prices for cambelt changes some of us can again get these done at...

    £5k burning a hole...

What's your point? Only tightfisted owners stick to that, dought the owners on here do. Are we not car enthusiasts?

    £5k burning a hole...

Now not knocking this car, but! 4 services in 6 yrs + is not where my money would be going. When I had my Trophy it had at least 2 or more oil changes etc every yr. Christ if you can get a 197 for 5K that is awesome, but as mentioned boxes are chocolate even on 182's .

My road to the Ma5da Championship. Project hairdressing.

This is his view on brakes "REALLY rate Carbotech on the Mx5 race car, was killing a set of EBC yellows in a day but the carbotech last much better and have much better feel" Been saying these for over a yr, now good to see I am not the only one ;) If you go on Nutz pm 'rodders' if you need...
