Don't worry about ring noise limits,just don;t drive like a idiot on the roads leading to and around the ring and you will be fine,still had my yozza decat last year (103 db)No problem's at all.
I would go for a Milltek quiet but great sounding,some people may say the build quality isn't the greatest but they have probably never owned one,I have had 4 Milltek systems on various cars never had a problem.
Thanks mate,not sure how much is lowered compared to standard,from middle of wheel to arch front 310mm and back is 290mm,these are only rough measurements hope this helps,car is on H&R's.
Little update,starting to get a few bits together
ARP bolts,polo rad with smaller fan(new thermostat as well)
Will be fitting this lot towards the end of the month as I only changed the oil a couple of weeks ago and will need doing again when the bolts are fitted,then it will be off to TDF...
May be buying this kit just need to know what else I would need,I am thinking just air filter and throttle pedal and sensor,I have a Ec1 already.

I do like those wheels some other choices for you the black 32 with MTM bimotos gets my vote,my has friend has the same colour r32 as you with 19 inch bimotos in anthracite they look awesome,will try and get you some pics.

Lifting the restriction of the standard inlet will in most cases(Itbs are the exception) lose you torque and gain bhp,a good mix of bhp and torque is what you want for a nice driving car.
438's and RS2 have been tried already make what you will of the results...
That graph shows before and after mapping of a standard car,my car has picked up gains across the rev range each time it has been mapped to suit,I would not be happy losing a massive chunk of torque low down in the rev range as seems to be the case with laine's car,that's were these cars need...
