Bought some trumpets similar to these:

Then ordered some mesh and carbon wrap. Had to do some filing to get a good fit but i really liked the look of them in the end.
What did I do wrong then, mine lasted a week!
Yeah i'm loving it. I had the front wishbone rear bushes replaced with polybushes yesterday and a full alignment afterwards. It's much improved the handling and got rid of the tramlining that was bugging me. Just need some sunshine now!
It's not horrendous, but it just shouts wannabe to me. Unfortunately exhausts are one of those things that straddle a fine line between oem + ..... & chav.
Sorry, reading fail, it’s just the front wishbone rear bush I’m replacing.
As you say, it’s frustrating what to freshen up/replace before alignment. I was just going to align, but then I’d be p*ssed if bushes did need replacing and I had to get the alignment done again. Car has done 68k and...
Hmm, if only I had the place, tools & skills.
Mine goes in Thursday. Ordered the bushes myself (£50), and fitting & alignment £160. So £210 all in, not too bad I guess.
Has it made any difference to tramlining... or were you not experiencing much anyway?
Front wishbone, rear bushes. I've ordered Polyflex ones. I wasn't sure whether to go for oem as some say whilst polybushes give a much more direct feel to the steering they also transfer a bit more vibration into the cabin and give a more firm ride. But pah, i'm not that old yet and the the Zed...
I've only had it a month, give me chance!
Yeah spacers are a must. As I noted earlier it's such an improvement when viewed in the metal.
I did look at dismantling the fogs but tbh I'm not sure it's worth it. I read on thread on Z4 forum about it.. it seems a fiddle and if I'm honest I...
I think it makes the front end much neater & aggressive. I also preferred the black grills on my previous silver & carbon black 1 series. Personal preference I guess.
The Mazda!
Erm.. nope. Just wondered if you'd had it done and were keeping hush.
They're Bimecc spacers that I got from Ebay. I ideally wanted to go H&R but they are £145 before you consider longer wheel bolts. These were £115 all in including bolts and locking nuts and get positive...
So, I’ve had the car just over a month and have done a few bits and pieces to it. Hopefully, money permitting, there will be a few more minor modifications whilst the car is in my ownership so I thought I’d create this thread to document it. This is how the car looked the day we picked it up...
Re: E85 3.0 Z4 Roadster Project Qst. Post 605 (answers wanted)
Are these the same as the 'sport' seats in my Si? Look identical. I'd say yes either way. I've had mine on heated everyday for the last month.
