That was my initial thought but the exhaust builders said there was no need to go up to 2.5 and they seem to know their stuff.
These can happily make more torque with 300lb-ft being about the limit for the standard gearbox. Power wise though it's in the sweet spot. If I wanted more it's an...
Really? Did you see the graph? Won't get much more without going forged. And I'm well aware that 200s are far better drivers cars. I find the SS brakes cope reasonably well when they're nice and warm and they performed fine for me at the 'ring last year (of course with less power). I will be...
I was having a nose at it while I was there. That'll be some machine when (if ever haha) it's done. Used to have one of those when they first came out and loved every second of it.
They were standard SS white before but I recently had them done in red to compliment the mirrors and stripes.
The front tyres are Falkens which are ok but don't have long left on them. It's managing to put most of it down without too much hassle when the road's dry. I reckon it'll be no problem...
Had my Abarth 500 SS for 18 months now but only recently started fiddling.
Had the wheels sprayed red and then got a TD04 turbo, 200 cell cat, 2.25 inch stainless exhaust with a middle silencer, Forge Induction Kit, Airtec FMIC, uprated injectors and Assetto Corse boost/MAP sensors
Work and...

Good turnout today and some lovely cars! Great to catch up with some familiar faces. Chuffed with the Abarth, 164hp and 216lb-ft. I was not expecting 200+ torques!
Looks nice and I agree the 'bolt' on the door strips looks better in black.
Have you thought about painting the blade on the lower grille and also the rear diffuser to carry on the theme?
Dare I say ring Mitchell's Renault, price should still be around the £300 mark which isn't too bad for a main dealer.
Most reputable garages in the area will be cheaper and shouldn't have too much of a problem though...
I know the guy who owns/drives it. Maybe it's his missus' but I mostly see him in it. Used to have a nice sounding custom exhaust on it. Maybe she got tired of the noise!
Much like Inferno, once the sun hits PB, it's gorgeous IMO
I had V12s on my old Bean and I have to echo what Mick said.
It's true about the sidewalls being quite soft but for spirited road driving, I couldn't fault them.
As for wet driving, well, even with the best wet road tyre in the world, I'd still be exercising the same caution as I did on V12s...
I'll say! I ended up getting called 'the cat' because of the amount of time I spent under the bean resealing the fcuker!
Lost patience and had it welded!
Otherwise, I got on rather well with the RS192 :)
Got to say, RB and silver Turinis is a winner for me ;)
I agree! And all the cost cutting is nonsense too. These new engines have cost teams a fortune!
Something else which is funny is at the moment each driver can use no more than 8 engines in a season. This is going down to 5!
I think it's that time we'll start seeing and hearing more about these new "Power Units".
Some of you will have heard the clip of Renault's effort recently, (on a test bench) which they claim they weren't giving it beans.
Below is a dyno sound clip of Merc's with a mock up of the Monza...
