Hi all,
To cut a long story short my g/f's mom is having problems with her 06 Clio dynamique DCI 1.4 86hp. It basically pulls to the right or left, and it seems to do it intermittently but she seems to notice it on corners more than straights.
Anyway she took it to a local garage and they...
I think you should definately raise it with them, at the end of the day <jerry kyle stlye, google it!> they risked putting a cheap brand on the car, and that cheap sh*t failed, risking your life after only 3k.
If they dont go for it, name and shame them.........
Nah alternator is cool, and whats more.....the sound has gone away.....it hasnt occured again for 2 or more days. So i just dont get it, car runs / starts great, so i guess ill just keep an eye on it.
I thought it might be the throttle body, as they do whine a bit.....but thats a serious whine.
Yeh it sounds pretty damn bad doesnt it, it sounds belt side to me, but its very difficult to tell. I guess its the bearings in the pump etc and as you say, expansion makes it go away....
Hi all,
Firstly engine runs fine, but i get a VERY loud a very high pitched noise from cold or from warm. If the cars driven for a short time this noise upon stopping will have disappeared, however leave it 10mins then go out again, start it......its back.
Im thinking 1 of 3 things,
1...

You owned the car from new? 87k? if not chances are they've been done before IMO.
My advice, replace them once with some uprated ones (KTR or other) then forget about it. They just dont last the stock ones esp used sets........a brand new set lasted 25k for me (which is a year at my current anual mileage). So i bit the bullet and went uprated all mounts, car feels superb...
Possible ABS fault?? (but i think when i had this, i only had the 2 lights on my dash, but im not sure now), check these yourself first
A : Check you dont have a broken CV boot on the front, and the grease has clogged up the teeth on the abs ring / the sensor itself. (Easy to see, as there...
Right, firstly thanks to all who posted. I have found the issue, after having annoying removed my back arch liners, (NOT that they do f**k all anyway as there was shitloads of crud behind them.)
Basically my damper settings at the rear were on 27/42 (towards hard), this turned out to be WAY...
