Just replaced the starter motor with a second hand unit, (checked it before fitting and clutch fork engaged ok) starter turns for a few seconds and then just stops...it behaves like that every time I try to start it, sounds fine -battery is fully charged- but then just stops. Plugged fault code...
make sure the bump stops were replaced when the springs were installed, should be no rubbing with Cooksports on a Cup chassis; mine was fine on 16s and 15s and it gets the crap beaten out of it. Bear in mind arch liners protect the belts on the n/s too...
I do normally buy stuff from Adam but as this is a swap out part I need to return the goosed driveshaft to him which is a pita as I'm in Essex and postage is gonna be a killer :(

Didn't notice a Q drive sticker on it...will looktonight, its from Eurocar parts and I think they use various suppliers.

Ordered a replacement n/s driveshaft from Eurocarparts...using my registration (cup packed 182), and they have sent me this;
Clearly ABS is half the size and outer CV boot is smaller...have they made a mistake or have I fooked up and should have gone genuine Renault?

removed goosed starter (some ejit removed the heatshield) and n/s driveshaft (both gaters split) ...will get refurbed kit sorted in the week.
fitted powerflex dog bone, braided brake lines, changed brake fluid and bled the rears...old front pads removed so will be galled G tomorrow for some...
I run these...but they weren't £40 when I bought them :o

It certainly isn't the most efficient set up but there is no issue using it on track if you are sensible...sadly the internet often perpetuates opinion that is repeated so often people start to believe it is true. The Arc make great stuff, one of my friends has a tmic on his v2...
