Cheers mate! Yeah say AR1s its'd be another second a lap quicker at least for sure! Not chasing times at all tho just maximising the car!
My mate has made an edit of some exterior and paddock clips and a good session with a pedal cam after he threw a couple of Go Pros in my car (i only have a...
Absolutely awesome day at oulton on Saturday, the wishbones adding a little more camber really have transformed it since oulton 12months ago, got black flagged a couple of times for drifting and track limits at old hall but the guys were cool. Managing 2.04/5s which is oly 2 seconds slower than...
Been a while... done cadwell park last wednesday first trackday of the year, considering the weather was forecast torrential rain it never really properly came until dinnertime so inbetween afew showers i managed say 2 90%dry sessions, went home at dinner but still managed 110miles on track in...
The 50x25mm 3mm thick box section underneath which has been overly welded is taking all the strength, them tabs ontop are just for added bracing which again has been welded to the max, they haven't moved or bent flexed in 500 or so spirited miles since fitting them.
little update, bought some new lower arms and extended them 8mm to give it some much needed camber, turns is so so much better now -

I'm game for either of them tracks and a handful of others i know I'm sure would be too!
I forgotten to check the scales but i guess it's around 1100 with little fuel in
Oulton park was epic on saturday, one of the best trackdays i've done there, hardly any red flags and all 6 of us never had any probles, i just had to change y pads at dinner as i think i have a sticky rear calpier as only one od the rear pads was metal on metal, yellow stuffs fitted expecting...
It's suffers abit from understeer as i haven't attended to the lack of negative camber on the front yet (nothing's adjustable) even though it's really low it only has around -1 camber and without having a diff which I was used too for 5 years in the DC2 (and -3 front camber) it feels abit crap...

I'm sticking with the stock 'DE as it's too good to bin, it's had the headbuilt with genuine parts, hasnt used a drop of oil since servicing it 1200miles ago with the Cadwell trackday inbetween so it's reliable, I can't turbo any car so this is staying N/A and going to be as light as It can...

Cheers for the replies, hopefully it may inspire someone else to get another 90s saloon other than BMWs and come/get into trackdays haha

Well Cadwell was bags of fun even with it being 4-5seconds a lap slower than the Teg in the corners it was still mega, i fitted some bluestuff pads last weekend, wish i opted for different pads now as the compound on the disc was building up after afew laps causing juddering, a lap of cooling...
So, fully stripped bar the radio and front door cards, buckets i bought for the nova and harnesses out of my Zetec-S and XR2 bought back with the car as he had them both off me, bolted to the floor using recaro sidemounts nice and low reason for the massive sunstrip aha, notched the original...
I was on that day in my dc2 too, he's one of my longest mates I didn't want him to get rid of it haha, too good of a car for me to not get my hands on it being the best base/chassis of any 90s supetourer saloon with proven reliability, winner!
Cheers for the replies, i can't bring myself to...
I thought i'd do a little progress thread on here maybe it could inspire someone else to get a 90s touring car and do similar to what i'm going to do with this aha. I've taken depsoit on my DC2 and this is it's replacement, bought cheap off a mate who's completed 4 trackdays faultlessly apart...
flew through the MOT last month!
Headed to Croft on friday for my second time there, bloody awesome track, a hell of alot slippier than i was expecting in the wet with how rough the surface is! Car was faultless apart from the radiator high pressure cap wasn't releasing luckily i had a spare...
Get another man, they're bloody amazing allround cars aren't they, they're just all expensive now!
So, fitted new shafts from Tegiwa all seems good again!
Got new brake pads instead of the Bluestuffs will fit them nearer the next trackday!
When swapping the shafts i noticed fluid EVERYWHERE...
So oulton park, weather was perfect but it was one of the worst trackdays i've done, track was very busy mainly due to there being 12 or 13 red flags, i was one of them and a couple of mates were 3 of them haha. The worst thing about red flags is the ques on track as everyone just wants to be...
Think so, rear arches are getting abit scabby but nothing major!
New Tegiwa X-Cool radiator after finding the Nissens one split where the fins met the base from i'm guessing the pressure from just before the radiator cap shat itself at cadwell -

My DC2 is just too good of an allrounder to sell and i'm abit limited for space at mine so this has to go, ££££ worth of suspension had just arrived too in some Gaz Golds with some juicy spring rates.
