Rocker cover gasket done, will take a pic when i get the bonnet off which at the minute im waiting for a mate to come help/hold it while i undo the 2 remaining bolts, sh!t design, doesnt help with my oil cooler hoses in the way...
got bored so thought id try lightening the bonnet a tad, noticed this as i was doing it -

at anglesey i did yeah, 2 brand new ones pretty much down to or just above the wear markers haha, still got a full dry trackday at least out of my R888s on my RS4-spokes and a good 3 or 4 on these on the Pepperpots as the 2 R888s are near new and...
so i gave it its yearly service today with these items -
new wheels i got the other week only for the tyres -
due to personal reasons i cant make the trackday on the 2nd march so ive got a refund minus 15quid which wasnt too bad, ill be looking at doing trackdays from like april/may...
Just booked the first trackday of the year for me at Oulton Park for saturday 2nd march, cant wait!
ordered 1m of 16mm fuel hose to replace the squased braided 19mm i have on in 2 places atm, ill do that when i service the car in afew weeks!
daym haha, will do, defo doing it around march time when the cars back on the road, probs mid-end of march with the hope that there is a oulton trackday on then thats around 150quid or less!

tbf if it was a february or march winter trackday at that price then yeh defo cos itd after christmas and we'd see the weather getting better, but this weekends too soon and that price is too steep imo

today i gave it its final wash of the year -
then did this for the first time since owning it -
decided to take it off the road till march, use the money on upgrading my van rather than insurance and tax on a car i'l hardly ever drive and not doing trackdays anytime soon, plus keep it...
brakes bled up and tested properly... they're savage now, crap before they've got abit of heat in them but miles better than ds2500's when upto temp!
also gave the car a quick wash since anglesey!
bled the brakes up and the car was pulling to the left front slightly/sign of why the old left front brakes were more worn than the offside, so i got new refurbed calipers 2 weeks ago, then found out they were wrong, one was meant for a solid disc and both i couldnt fit the retaining springs...
New discs and pads arrived...
so, old DS2500 pads, lol -
and the nearside disc from where the 2 pads are down to metal came from, 2 cracks -
the offside disc wasnt cracked at all, dont understand how the nearside is braking more than the offside... down to the bleeding maybe?.. as they...
yeh standard innit haha
would go bigger but that would mean new wheels, tyres, brakes, arch work, less camber, larger rear springs... and anything bigger than 13s look daft on mk1/2s imo
im kinda suprised ive kept it 2 n half years tbh haha
the future, just maintain it, nothing else to...
I dont class them as a fault as the pads were low and the discs had faints of cracks in them already so i knew they'd need replacing after the trackday, so its just maintainence and now i going to upgrade them...
Just ordered some Ferodo DS3000 pads, just need to pick which discs, might go for...
