Big step up in my opinion , I did it , and it is costly but imo worth while , tyres brakes etc aren't as cheap , Cambelts normally around the same price. I average about 22mpg to work but I sit in traffic, on a run mines decent does 200miles on half a tank , and it's comfy to do that as well!

haha fair enough I suppose I can't complain because my Clio was great never really cost a lot to keep it going where as the megane has had some teething issues , but I'll get there in the end ! I didn't buy a R26 thinking it'll be cheap to run ! Getting bored is dangerous though ;) lol
