well have now changed the leads (twice as it goes as the 1st set of Magnecor were faulty can you believe!) and the friggin thing is STILL mis-firing! Guess I'll change the Coil Pack then what if that doesn't work...?

ash, did you do that due to a problem with the original leads or did you just upgrade? Have ordered some Magnecor 8mm leads now @ £75 delivered which I didn't think was too bad?

somebody has suggested changing the plugs, anybody recommend the best plugs to use in a 172 Cup - K-Tec recommend their own plugs but these must be Bosch or simliar that are probably available cheaper elsewhere?
just done mine on my 172 Cup - cable cost about £16.50+ VAT & it took about 20mins. You need to roll the seat cover up out of the way after unhooking the elastic keeping it in place then it will all become very obvious! The plastic cover around the handle needs to come off & you'll need an Allen...
