"Alloys have been curbed slightly but have been touched up and only noticable when up close, four locking wheelnuts on each wheel"
4 locking nuts per wheel! Bet thats fun when you need to change a type.... especially if they are all different, 16 locking keys anyone?
Hey dont knock them! Let them buy them new, take the hit on depreciation and look after it so when we buy it 2nd hand we get a mint non-ragged 197. ;)
Mine has started doing this too. I had a front lower ball joint replaced under warranty last month and i'm wondering if they have fecked up the tracking/allignment/(insert proper name here)
182 - 7.5/10
I like the looks, chucking it round corners, good mpg and that 5k kick.
I dont like how frantic it sounds cruising at 80ish on m'way (coming from a 4.0 v8 that did 80 at about 1500rpm), the squeeking dashboard and the random knocking from the engine...
Yep, i have noticed this too. Gave the girlfriend in the passanger seat a face full of washer fluid the other day. I have now been told i am only allowed to clean the windscreen 1. When stationary and 2. With the windows closed!
What about using some (much hated) wind deflectors?
Same thing here....lost 10months NCB because the AA wanted an extra £700 to insure the clio on the last 2months of my policy, so told them to screw that and to refund me the difference which was about £250 - otherwise i would have in effect paid them £950 for 2 months cover: 12 months cover...
Yer, i was round a mates a few years ago and there were three fords on the drive, iirc all the keys would open each others doors, but more worryingly the escort key would start the other mates ka!
On a slightly different note, i remember my mates vauxhall nova where if you took the hazard...
A couple of years ago, i drove to work on an industrial estate, parked up at 8.30, stuck my new shiny metal dust caps on, went down to the local bakery in the work van on the bun run, came back 14 MINUTES later and they were gone! bugger! Just use the black plastic ones now...
Nice one mate!!
As i said it would be interesting to see what it puts out (although im sure there will still be some debate when you do get figures about the calibration of the r/r!)
Any piccies in the meantime?:)
As said above, i think the problem was that they didnt substantiate their claim of an extra 20bhp. A lot of people have spent more and gained less.
Would be interesting if you did get they ex-demo to stick it on some rollers to find out exactly what it is making!!
I just tried putting my details through confused.com and the cheapest i got was £1800! Oh dear. No Vee for me then...
Get some pics of the beast up Ali!
Is it just a case of chopping the edges to stop it fouling the tyres on the 182, or do you need to chop the middle to take some width out of it?
Sorry for the thread hijack....Looks cool on your ibiza!
I Like it! Only thing im not sure about is the bonnet, what does the bulge look like from the drivers seat?
Other than that, love it - esp your engine cover/hillpower.
Just going for a remap Dave? Not been convinced to add any other bits at the same time?
Would be interested to know what its like after, as my 182 is also stock at the mo.....:)
See i was planning to keep the original 182 alloys stock, then get another set in a diff colour, like white with a polished lip or maybe some random colour:o
I like them, and as you say carina, if you get bored of them you can just get them done a diff colour and it will still have cost less than a new set of alloys. :)
