Found one on ebay for £15.50 delivered. At that orice I'll try it and see how it goes. Once car running ok again i can get the head down over the winter and pull the grinder out again!
Hopefully so bud. Still learning the Clio and have used last 2 days for a snag list which is more like a want list for the winter. Lots i could do but running out of things to cut off with angle grinder!
Still on bog standard tyres, brakes, lines etc so plenty to keep me occupied. Happy though...
Unfortunately not, ended my day as car idling at 6k. Not too concerned though, was only Clios second outing and I've a lot to do before next year.
I'd say foggy run would've been fantastic though. My brother was loving the 4 clio run earlier. Hope that happens many times again!
Brilliant reply.
I already have the air con out.
Sourcing the right rack had just been made a little easier too. I imagine when you talk of looped circuit you simply mean a single oil filled hose connecting both oil ports?
Hi All, just finished last track day of the season in my 2000 Ph1 172. Already thinking of mods for next year and have a small list of 'to do's'.
I was wondering if anyone has installed a standard steering rack (NON power steering). I like the idea of this as steering mostly will be done at...
Hi all, need help.
Car is a year 2000 Clio 172 phase 1. I use it for track days only and whilst on track today at Kirkistown the sensor in the picture came off and broke 4 small wires within it (all part of sensor unit). It is part of the inlet manifold and resulted in the car idling at approx...
Lose weight. Best available mod and free also. Less strain on ALL components and response greatly improved. Try losing spare wheel alone and go for a thrash round the back roads. Then remove non essentials, even for a road car there's a lot and the feel is epic. People chase BHP and rolling...
I reckon i can still discover more weight Mark, already thinking of 'honeycombing' inner oanels with big bros trusty bore cutter! That was enough to just manage to get her out on Sunday (in my book)
More weight loss, camber bolts, brakes, tyres, remap on the agenda before skim and introducing...
Cheers buddy, still at it so there'll be more to come. People spend insane money on so called brand names. Really does my head in. A bit of common sense thinking and a tool kit goes a long way. Take the front mount oil cooler kit - All in about £70 from local hydraulic supplier and is...
Pure total hatchet job!!! Everything that can be stripped has been. Heater matrix, door locks, door protection bars, headlights, even stuff you probably wouldnt think of!!!
Custom 2.5 decat exhaust for £100. Home made intake etc. No remap or engine work yet but goes like a rocket!!! Even the...
Just some pics before and during 1st Clio 172 outing at Kirkistown which happened on Sunday. Clio replaced a very temperamental MR2 and ran well all day with no faults. Have a small 'to do' list which is more want than necessity as Sunday was more of a test day. Anyhow, here you go...
Ok, year 2000 Ph1 172. Car being prepped for track only. Cage just welded in at weekend.
Welding done with battery disconnected.
Getting full ignition lights but when I turn key to start the dash lights dim and she won't turn over. Car hopefully out on Sunday. Battery shoukd be ok but have put...
