A few pics of my eg after a regular wash and polish and she's just ticked over 32000miles. Will be coming off the road soon for winter but have plans to go B18C4 with a turbo kit.
He was pulling away easily on the straights but I pulled him in on the brakes and through the corners. It was the M4 actually which is effectively the new M3 with a turbo.
Here is another lap of me chasing a BMW M3 GTS.
Lastly, I did an Oulton Park trackday on Tuesday, the weather was great all day so I was really able to push the car. The carbone lorraine pads were going off after 4 or so laps I think I need to look at brake ducts or the RC6 pad variation. I had a lucky moment on the last corner with the...
Met up with Spenny D a few weeks back in this K20 EG and got a few photos:
Had the rocker cover and strut brace powder coated in blue along with a few other bits to brighten up the engine bay:
Before:
After:
I have had a spoon spoiler laying around for ages so tried that on...
So I put alot of time and money into the car to get it ready for the Ring and pushed hard in the last month to get it ready in time. I would of liked to put a few more miles on it before I went but the car was brilliant all weekend. I managed to get 9 laps in, I had hoped for more but the Sunday...
Nurburgring Update:
I gave it a thorough detail inside and out before I went and this was the result:
DOHC VTEC Stickers from the SIR-S added to the doors:
All ready for Germany!
Bodyshop: So the car has been painted, I had both rear quarter panels, side strips and the JDM tailgate sprayed. The bodyshop did a great job and the colour match which I was most worried about was spot on and blended in nicely. The plastic strips on the rear arch lips arent being replaced so I...
The car is coming along nicely now.... 8 weeks till the Nurburgring trip.
The suspension is now built up, just need to set the geometry up so that it can be driven to Grinspeed for a proper setup.
I have ordered a set of 195/50/15 AD08R tyres to go on the Rotas.
After a long wait from KAM...
The car is coming along now at a steady pace but I have been rubbish at getting photos
I am due to go the Nurburgring on the 30th April so need to press on with it!
Picked up some more powdercoated bits last night:
H-Brace
ITR Gearlinkage:
Suspension Forks
Torque mounts & Battery Tie...
Ok so big update, i have been updating on the civic forum but kinda forgot about here!
I'll copy and paste from the other thread....
I have turned a corner with the car now and the undersealing is completed which means I can now start putting bits back on the car
Some of the bits I have...
Not really I love the way b-series rev their nuts off so I have bought a newly rebuilt b18 from an integra type r.
The time attack car is a mate of mine, really quick car but he has done a fair bit of work to get it sitting right as they generally tilt forward and you end up with oil starvation...
More little updates, i seem to have spent ages working on the car yet made little process. I am just taking my time and ensuring all rust has been removed before undersealing.
I wasn't entirely happy with the O/S/R rear arch so i have carefully cut out part of the outer arch and the inner...
Little Update: I am progressing with the build slowly and just stripping everything down at the moment. What I thought was a rust free shell is not quite as I thought…. I found a small patch of rust upon removal the side skirt where the sill meets the arch. It appears someone has repaired it in...
I always thought the PS3 were a decent enough tyre on the road and average on a dry track day. Then i did a wet track day and was quite simply amazed! I do not consider myself the next Lewis Hamilton or anything like, but they inspire great confidence in the wet with great predictability. I was...
Yes I was on CSC back in the day! I actually remember your eg, anymore pics of it?
Huge plans for mine, looking for at least 230hp n/a, manual conversion, full rebush, Meister r coilovers, all the strut braces, black interior swap, Recaros, bys lip and side skirts, jdm boot, spoon spoiler, dc2...
I have been away from the Honda scene for a couple of years now and had various Clio 1*2's in the meantime but have always missed lure of a modified Honda. My first car was a Civic EG so i have always had a special place for them.
When this mint example came up for sale with just 30k on it...
I'm going to change the power steering fluid on my 182 but I can't seem to find a definate answer on whether it should be dextrose 2 or 3?
We all know that on track the fluid has a tendency to boil so wondering if you can buy higher rated fluid?
I've had this before with ds2500 on an old car. I put it down to hard track use or stick caliper. The majority of the pad is still intact in your case so reuse i say just keep your eye on it.
I run PS3's on the road and find them great in all weathers, for a road tyre i wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.
However, as a track tyre i feel they fall apart. I went to the ring in easter and it was a rather hot few days and i was slipping and sliding around. Luckily i took a spare...
