Is it worth doing a compression test? would that reveal if it has bent any valves?

You did a bloody good job on that! We all make mistakes, the main thing is you're alright. Did you fit the springs I sold you?

I went into Renault at the weekend asking about the catch on my cup and was told it would not be eligible for the free catch because they are only replacing 03 plate onwards. Anyone else heard this crap?

No its just the pictures the tyres are like new! I fitted brand new tyres then drove to oulton park did around 20 laps then drove home.

You need new rear discs/bearings and pads. The man above will be able sort you out a good deal!

Just inspected mine today. 80 motorway miles and 20 odd laps round Oulton park not exactly giving it death either.....

I can get one on a staff sale from euro but I am suspect as to the quality for parts like this. I'll have a ring round tomorrow anyway, just glad its a simple fix.

Just tried a coilpack and still the same so that rules that out. Got another set of Leads and 02 sensor to try tomorrow then last resort injectors. There is a strong smell of fuel so I suspect its going to be an injector. What the deal with injectors btw, refurb? replace? How much is it gonna...

The ek9 is faster, but so it should be they cost about 3 times as much as the 172. Way overpriced!

sorry yes its for a 172. The OE part number on the listing matching up with the correct tool in the workshop manual.
