@YorkshireKyle The recent incident with the rear stub bolts all snapping I want to be (feel) safer as I think the mk3 setup is a better design and stronger, heavier car after all (y)
Not 100% as dont know the state of whats been taken away but youd need all the roof wiring and the simplest way is to use butt connectors to splice the wires. Do you have the tools? For the price you could look at a untampered with loom it would probably be cheaper.
If all seems to work out with the rear mk3 setup, I have the option of non sport or 197 calipers, 34mm and 38mm bore size respectively, non sport being cheap as chips..
Im running 197 master cylinder and brembos up front with ds1.11 with ABS. Im not sure how much all this will make a difference...
Yeah the pedals arnt great. What a few people have done including myself is put washer behind the throttle pedal to bring it more inline to the brake but they are all still too far to the right, some people bend them as well.
Ive taken the column surround out as well and my knees still hit the...
Thanks @pule333
I found an f1 part on ebay I think you could use, it would be good on youtube! Also dont look through their ebay page if you want to keep your wallet...
One came a bit loose and gave the rack loads of room to move. I havnt used locktite in the past and never had this problem I dont know if I should or not, but should I go for the higher strength one for security? Although the blue 243 I use on the brembo calipers bolts gives my gun a bit of work.
I was waiting for a deal like this to pop up, just got another makita impact gun from FFX tools. A 12v 3/8 version, much smaller and lighter and is brushless...
Thanks guys just made the account. Good shout although I ordered something from germany yesterday o_O Im going to give R-sport a call tomorrow as they may have the part
They are 10.9 as they come from pms but I bought extras and could only find 10.9. The sleeve idea would make sense as they arnt exactly snug. Have you seen the mk3 rears? The oem bolts (hopefully you can still buy them) have that wider unthreaded part on the bolt. Im looking at pads for the...
They are s**t stock, way over rated. It took me ages to get it to where It was decent and then a shody aftermarket part put me back 2 places and now it needs more work o_O Its not going anywhere though because I know its got so much more in it and thats with race coilovers and a host of other mods.
Quite impressive how the caliper ended up facing up..
Very lucky that the wheel stayed on (it was just resting on the studs) for me to coast to a safe place.
Wrote about it here:

Im 100% going to do the mk3...
Very nice, wheel and colour works perfectly. How are you finding those tyres? Im not a fan I have a pair up front and even with heat they dont feel great. Would swap them for fresh p zeros in a heartbeat.
If youre happy to do the job on the street then drilling a couple extra holes is the least of your worries. Getting the right seating position isnt a 5 min job I would see if you could go do it somewhere with more space.
For the standard runners Im no fabricator but Im sure its possible, needs...
So a couple nights ago on the way to another member, the car basically s**t it self.. Im very lucky that the only damage done was to the car and not me.
I heard a couple huge bangs then coasted in to a side road, the whole n/s assembly was hanging on by one bolt which I think was also snapped...
You driven yours much on the road with the 15s? The 205/45/16 ad08rs I have up front are a smaller dimeter than the p zeros and 5th go is too short now for the road, Im cruising around in 5th everywhere. The ad048 I had for a bit were 195/50/16 and made the gearing painfully long though lol.
I...
An update.. The car stinks of fuel when I put my foot down and It says Im getting 1.4 mpg. I now have access to another laptop, is there anything else I should do? I clicked the throttle position setting which changed some figures and activated the TB open and close for a while. The cars been...
Made the line last night and so far no leaks.. Have been bleeding it without clip to start, opened up the software and started with the rear right (AC156) but Im not sure if it works because clip seemed to crash nor was there any noise from the pump and air just keeps coming out in a steady...
Still leaks.. Am pushing the fluid out to empty the reservoir to minimise mess taking the line out then will make a new one.
Does anyone have that line they could sell me?
@Mbeau If you see this thread it was my fault mate! Am seriously annoyed at my self but what can you do.
So Ive taken the line off to inspect it. I think the flare wasnt seated properly in the mc, Im a little worried as the flare doesnt seem perfect now but Ive tightened it back up and it seems to have done up correctly this time (it became tight and wouldnt budge) I also backed off the fitting...
