Been hyrodipping bits and pieces, experimenting with different things. Done my front Renault badge and really happy with how it looks, wish I had spent a bit longer on prep as I rushed it as I was pushed for time. Tell me what you think, thanks Gaz
Have you been? You can do it cheaper than a grand yeah but not £500. Tunnel is far better too worth every penny extra. £1000 is realistic, when you go you don't want to be on a strict budget you want to enjoy yourself. There are ways of saving money like shopping at aldi and not going round the...
We went for a week, costs about £1k including everything.
£200 fuel
£150 accommodation
£150 tunnel crossing
£30 travel insurance
£150 on laps €27 a lap
£300 general spends
€12 ring sticker lol
Yes mate, should never make plans haha. Coming out to sort box out, as it seems easier than messing about dropping subframe ect and pulling it through the arch. If I hadn't had the problems I think it would of been ready to pull out first thing in the morning.
Couldn't agree more, previous owner has broke or bodged everything. Luckily I'm a little ocd when it comes to things, so will be putting them all rite as and when I come to them.
OK, so I thought I would take my engine out this weekend. So gave myself a couple of hours to strip front end and drain fluids, easy doable. Then both the captive nuts holding bumper to wing had snapped, which took ages on there own. Everything else went fine until I come to drain coolant, some...
Haha yeah, going to be a good year but expensive. Got Amsterdam next week, really can't see me having funds to go though, a week at nurburgring in may, lanzarote in June for 2 weeks, then a long weekend in benidorm in august for my mates stag doo.
I have a set of H&R coilovers on my car and from what I've drove of it they are really comfy for coilovers. But............ I know there expensive new I wanted to know what I would get second hand as I'm just not going to see the benefit from them with my car being a daily and the odd track day...
No mate, I've had zero time to work on it. I tried today and my wife phones everyone round for a BBQ. Going to try tomorrow.
1 thing that is baffling me is that if I let the clutch totally out it bites and trys to go, so thinking of changing clutch too. I've read a couple of how to gear box...
Yeah give it ago. It isn't simple, you still have to prep, prime, clear coat and polish like you would paint. Instead of painting you dip, only thing I would say is a proper tank is a must, heated and filtered. I tried in a plastic tank and fail.
Yeah it would make a mess of your bath tub, and activator sticks too. I just read a bit then trial and error, not as easy as it looks.
I was quoted £50 by a place local to me, so if you sent them to me £30 plus postage back.
Thanks gaz
Just reread it, yeah crank sensor. Just read the non starting and spring like warning light doh! I would be 99% sure its crank sensor, still don't know what the warning light is though.
