    Ignis number 2

Too much love going out for these cars, they look awful and they are scary as fook! Every island has to be taken flatout, every car is a race and constantly needs to show me how good they handle. This is just going to work

    Clio DCI 65 or 80?

I would at least speak to trading standards, I did and if in the advert it stats anything about it being mechanically sound ect and a mechanic can prove otherwise, you have a case. So any sign of a temporary fix ect

    Clio DCI 65 or 80?

Same happened as in my 172 broke down on the way home. Wasn't happen but sold as seen and all that jazz. It sucks but its just one of them things, at least once you fix it, it's fixed

    Spark plug banter

OK so just been looking at spark plugs and found myself looking at expensive ngk ones, which goes against everything I've ever said. Surely in a 160bhp car a spark plug is a spark plug???? I know in higher power forced induction cars a good spark plug us essential. Any body using cheap Bosch...

    Trophy or tweaked 182?

If you just using it as a toy on the road then I'd go trophy, if it was a full on track toy I'd be going 182 with lots of mods. Now I know the trophy is a track car from factory, but to get the most out of a car on track you have to push them. This can result in a crash, spin or just major wear...

Tyre size option for 182 FF

As long as its got a strong side wall and @smith647 said you'll have no problems. I had a mr2 with 205 50 16 nankangs side wall was super thin and moved all over the road at high speeds and just didn't give great confidence in corners. Toyos should be ok

Tyre size option for 182 FF

    I run 205 45 16 so I can't see 5% making much difference

Trying to turn around an RB 182

Really enjoyed reading this thread, good to see you keep tackling the issues and not getting carried away with shiney bits. Keep up the good work and we'll done for saving a bodged 182

    OK new question

You don't know my wife, I got in from work the other day and she was happy that she had managed to get our 9 year old daughter the iphone she wants on a £30 a month contract. I went mad, she doesn't care. Had a new TV arrive today, it was her idea we got a 4 bed house, she has a car on tick...

    OK new question

This is the main problem, my wife makes us live beyond our means, I mean we live beyond our means lol. So don't have loads of spare cash. The original idea was to get it as a mint daily, do track days ect, when in the real world I'm just not able to afford it. I could get a DCI sport rep still...
  27. theburns1

    OK new question

Always use to have mint tidy cars, last one was nice when new drove it in to the ground, enjoyed not giving a s**t about it, parking it any where ect. Where as a tidy car is nice but as a daily worry about it
  28. theburns1

    OK new question

As a daily what would you prefer, a mint flame red DCI rep or a mint flame red 172? I think I would enjoy the rep for the eco cost but find it boring. Flip side again is that I have 9 points so I should slow down anyway. Value wise a mint DCI rep seems to be worth similar money to 172. I know...

Taking my Cup off the road and just doing track days now.

Spot on, only thing I would say is you could keep Clio on trailer to save on space. If it was me and doing it on a budget, I would buy a cheap tow car with tow bar for about £1000, a semi decent trailer for about £500 then towing licence. So still £2k worth of investment but that's it then for...
