Done a search but can only find the size of the actual mount assembly bolts. I was wondering what the size of the main nut is? Need a new one as I seem to have accidentally used it on the engine-gearbox stud as the previous rebuilder had bodged a nut in place of it...
Thanks in advance
Which FIC are you going to use, the 6 or 8 (with boost control)? I was looking into these but then wasn't sure if it would work properly with these ECUs as they apparently learn around them...
Check the thick red cable going to it first, if it has a bad crimp on it or loose, it will detect faulty charging and the light flash up... Might be a cheaper fix.
Subscribed!! I'm also going for the full meg setup but have a GT28rs to bolt on instead and the dci pedalbox to deal with the hydro clutch. Out of interest, how are you going about fitting the 225 uch, is that a direct replacement or are you mounting elsewhere? Just curious as I'm opting for...
Lesson learnt for me to keep a closer eye on the oil levels and go easy round the roundabouts!
Joke is, I have a turbo block in the making and its my daily so deciding to hold this off the road and finish the turbo build or just suck it up and get a new head to keep it on the road… decisions...
So after having some running problems and knocking noise from the head I thought it was time to strip it...
First of all I assumed dephasr and carried on driving as the noise varied with acceleration but it wasn't until I lost oil pressure going round some round abouts that a noticeable constant...

Was going to take my time with the build but things are coming and I want to get it done!! :D
With the mains, is it worth machining the tang cutouts into the block for added protection or remove the tangs?
So progress has been made!
Strip down has started; awaiting a stand so have to work from my work top for the time being....

Thanks, must be the clio 3 box then, was told by a not so reliable source the DCi 100's had the same pedalbox as the V6….
Ok, so I've been pondering on the idea of boosting the clio for a while and decided the other week to to go for the jump...
Had my eye on a few 225 heads on the bay for a while and came across this whole head a few weeks ago; inlet, fuel rail, tb and ex. mani for a bargain!

I bought my car with a RAM foam induction fitted and have driven it like that for the last 8 months. The previous owner also provided the stock airbox which has been sat there the whole time. The car has always given that '4-5K kick' and I thought that was normal... Until now!
Gave the car a...
Couldn't see a CS sticker but the Reg was RK57 VGG
You stood out like a sore thumb when you did a cheeky manoeuvre round a car on queen square. I was a few cars back and followed through the traffic and then you nipped into Southgate!
Very tidy car!
