Does it do it when you are at a constant speed? If it's only underload sounds like a driveshaft.

yup sounds normal, have a guy at work who has the same issue 1.2 engine. I did an oil change for him and was amazed at about an inch of gunk in the filler. Has been fine since though made him check it every week and he also gives it a longer run once a week and its cleared it all up.

+1 to laine, i have the turbo / engine out on the dimma atm need to replace all the studs aswell. But i took the easy option and pulled the engine out, did new clutch gear box cambelt etc at the same time. Got to drop it all back in soon.

font of the gearbox towards the front bumper, has a little white (probably black with dirt) wing nut shaped plug, unscrew it and poor in fluid till its level aka just trickling back out the hole

Also is the clio 16 valver box, (i think its a JB3 or a JC3 would need to check code) compatable with a 182 engine as a temp measure?

Don't really got to Long eaton much, i pop down the tescos every so often :D But try and avoid it most of the time lol, although im from Chadd (don't live there now have escaped) so its about the same either way. Yeah it was me it was nice to see another 182 about, was just on the way home from work :D Silver did look nice in the dark :D could see the lights behind on the a6 and knew exactly what was behind lol :D about 8:45 - 9 pm tonight.

Nice looking silver 182 was behind me from duffield till the m1 turn off, looked nice as you went past :D
