Get a quote off elephant online, and if its cheaper then get back to Admiral and tell them to knock the price down even more. They WILL be able to give you a discount. Heres my scenario:
Admiral premium last yr: 900
Renewal premium this yr: 925
Rang up and told them I wanted the new customer...
Why is that? Although there are a huge number of external factors that affect the readings, surely it is a reasonably accurate measure of how the engine is performing?
Got the Clio rolling roaded at Awesome GTI in Irlam today. Car is 98bhp as standard, the ecu has been flashed with a Superchips map, there's a K-tech ramair induction kit and a Scorpion cat-back exhaust. Car's done 72,000 miles but still going strong lol.

Clay bars are not only good on the bodywork but alloys wheels too. You can get Meguiars Quick Clay from Halfords for around a tenner. Should help to get the wheels clean. You can use the clay on exhaust pipes too, brings them up really well.
My sunroof was leaking. Had to get the seal from Renault, was about £37 iirc. It goes inbetween the plastic bit of the sunroof and the metal on the roof. It took me about two days to do. I had to remove soem of the roof lining to get to the screws holding the sunroof in place. Make sure you wear...
I think it's ended up costing you more by having just the one pipe instead of two. The only way you can sort it properly is by changing the backbox imo. That way you keep the oe look of the car and you don't have to mess with the bumper.
Just out of curiousity, how much more was the dual exit...
My sunroof was creaking and recently it was leaking too. I took it all apart and found that I needed a seal kit from renault for £37 and the main thing that caused the problems were the bolts came slightly loose.
If your going to start using polishes and waxes, start with a clear canvas. Rinse the car thoroughly then shampoo it. Get rid of any tar etc on the paint,. Then use some thing like Meguiars (sp?) Quick Clay to remove anything left on the paint surface. Shampoo the car again, then start using the...
If you had a serious loss of power then it could be one of the coils has failed (renaults are notorious for this). I think they are about £50 each from the dealer. My car had a similar noise and I had hardly any power and it turned out to be a coil.
edit: sorry didnt see this page!
front two need to let in around 70% of light and the windscreen needs to let in 75% iirc. And don't forget, the windows are tinted from the factory, so getting a film that blocks 30% of the light will make them illegal.
Anyone got/use either of them? Road Angel 2 is £350, Road Angel Compact is £200. What's the main difference besides the compact being smaller, having no built in laser detector and giving advisory limits?
Which one is worth getting? Is it worth having a laser detector?
Another thing, on...
Alpine 9855 - £300
Alpine X-type components - £270 OR R-type comps - £120
Alpine MRVF340 - £220
Alpine R-type sub - £150
Something like that would sound great. Your better off saving up for a decent sub and amp though.

20" Kahn RS-C wheels with a subtle drop and SLR nosecone make the SL look amasing.
Im sure Ive seen those wheels before in a magasine. Anyone with a copy of Top Marques should be able to find the ads in there and the wheels.
I have a 1.4 16 (2001 model) and as standard it got up to 116mph. After I put 17" wheels on it, it struggled to pass 95-100mph. Once I got it superchipped I was getting closer to 120mph. So the chip can make a difference on a 1.4 but when your driving normally its not very much. Oh and with 15"...

Sorry about the hooj pics. Theyre TSW Ribs, look great in real life, shame about the chips you get on them because they stick out so much.
normally, if an insurer covers mods, then as long as it doesnt increase performance, top speed, or acceleration then they wont charge too much (again depends on insurer).
So bodywork mods and alloys wont be too bad, but its the suspension drop that will either put insurers off, or will push...
you only need a set of components at the front and a sub in the boot.
Im running 6.5£ alpine components off an alpine amp, and 2 rockford 12" dvc subs in the boot.
its all you need, any more speakers and the sound will appear muddled.
