i havent used any of the others but for a quick and decent finish, id get the zymol stuff from halfords (only 15 for both shampoo and polish). this really does work, as my car is 4 yrs old next week and it had loads of swirls on it from over the years of not polishing it properly. looked as...
try getting hold of some zymol stuff from halfords. you can buy the wash and the polish for about £15 for both. What it does is to hide the swirls.
if you want to sort them out completely, then buy the proper zymol kit (around £100) and this gets your paint perfect. you use some chalk to...
Liverpool Victoria dont like modifications any more. Neither do Norwich Union. Most companies accept simple mods like alloys, side skirts or cosmetic mods, but as soon as you start modifying your car to improve performance, top speed or acceleration then they wont touch you. In your case, the...
if its an splx amp then i wouldnt run it too hard or itll just clip and possibly mess up the subs. if youve got access to a voltmeter then you can test to see how far you can turn the gain up without it clipping.
you have been warned lol!
dude all hes trying to say is that to rack up all those points, and to get more now, you must be doing something wrong, regardless of the offence or timescale.
sony used to be good many years ago eg their xs ranges. now they cater for the chav market lol.
panasonic do a motorised screen for around 500, and underneath this you could attach a panasonic dvd player, costs around 300. would take up both spaces and youd be able to expand on it. hasnt got...
funky cloth could be alcantara, for that suede type effect. comes at around £80 a roll. you could also use the same cloth that is already in the boot, at around £25 a roll. Doubt youd need more than two rolls for a decent install.
proclean in precot are good. i took my wheel down to them on a friday morning to get a dent taken out of it, and it was ready by about 2pm.
they used to charge about £20 a wheel to sort kerbing out, now its around £50 per wheel i think.
panasonic do a good one. the cheapest ive seen it for is about 500. its got 5v pre-outs etc and is a decent unit. the cheapest alpine one is around 540.
but for 200-250 your best bet is to look on ebay.
basically the insurances company want to get a history of your driving, so any accidents - whether claimed for or not, whether it involved your own insurance company or the other persons, then they still want to know about it. so unfortunately yes you do have to declare it im afraid.
[Edited...
just on my way to work now, but if Liverpool Victoria are saying you only had a quote from them, find your insurance certificate and send them a photocopy of it and tell them to amend their details. again, they should have a record of the telephone conversation when u purchased the insurance...
More Than record ALL telephone conversations, so the discussions and any verbal contracts you may have with the company will all be recorded.
About the modifications. More Than dont cover cars which have been modified to increase top speed, acceleration or performance. By lowering your car...
i was referring to the sl range. i know the 320 isnt the top of the sl range, only the 280 is below it. but the sl range is one of the top merc ranges.
lol its not just an everyday merc, its a top of the range job.
also have you considered the cl range? theyre going quite cheap. stick on a set of khans and lower it and itll be really nice.
although if i were you id go for the clio as it is newer and has a warranty, and its more of a...
you have to declare any accidents/convictions over the past 5 yrs, so although points only last 3 yrs, your insurance will still take you up the arse for two more years.
if you contest it in court, they can only give you more points if you get done for dangerous driving etc, which in your...
mate has a rover 220 coupe turbo, its seriously quick, an donly has a few small mods (lowered, 17s, dump valve, full zorst, fiter).
in a straight line itll defo be quicker than a 182, but i think through a few streets etc the 182 will keep up as it doesnt have to wait for a turbo to spool up...
if you want your sub for a little more bass, use a sealed box. will give you a much tighter sound, thus better sound quality and it will use a smaller box. also much easier to make, and no port noise.
heres pics of my headunits (the dash has been cut out, looks abit tatty from the sides but headunits are going to be replaced so will be sorted out shortly):

they all cost more than the alpine. besides, alpine are similar to rockford, they tend to underestimate the power figures. my mrdm1000 gives 1149 rms at 2ohms.
the alpine is your best bet, its amasing quality and has loads of features as well. all the controls are digital. just remember to add another 15-25 for the amp remote, so you can control the bass from the dash. its also typical alpine quality, only flaw is that it doesnt run at 1 ohm.
the special heat reflecting windscreen has a little rectangle at the bottom centre of it which is just plain transparent glass. you could put the antenna etc there?
you can take the speaker outputs from the standard headunit and feed them to the amp, but instead of connecting them to the phono inputs of an amp, you feed them to the high level inputs.
