mrvf340 (its the 4/3/2ch 400w model)

basically it had to go there, as i couldnt put it at the side of the subs because the seats go up diagonally and not straight up. theres hardly any room left between the amp and parcel shelf and the amp...
dinky that model is slightly newer than my one. they both have the same specs/features etc, but just a different design ont he outside. if your looking for a bargain, the older mrdm1000 will be cheaper than the current model.

oh and a word of...
Ive got an Alpine MRD-M1000 amp, that does 1000watts RMS at 2ohms, at 14.4volts. On my certificate my one was producing 1149watts RMS at 2 ohms.
Retails around 500 ish, but you can get one on the net for around 400.

1.5 dci 80 is slower than a 1.4 16v petrol. the petrol does the 0-60 in 10.5 seconds compared to 11.2 for the diesel. the diesel has much more torque though (and i mean LOADS lol), and the petrol has an extra 18 bhp.
lol that diagram is completely wrong!
put the cap before the distribution block (and you only need one block). just make a diagram of how your goign to wire everything EXCLUDING the cap. then just before you split any wires, place the positive terminal of the cap inbetween the cable and run a...
generally the bigger the sub, the lower it will play. the smaller the sub, the more punchier it will sound. go for a 10" if you want punchy bass, for dance/house etc, or a 15" for r&b. a 12" sub does a bit of both.
why go for two cheaper subs when you can buy just one sub costing double? this will save some weight, but also give you better sound quality. However running two subs will generally shift more air around the cabin. The cheaper subs are generally lighter than the decent ones, as they use smaller...
i used eagle f1s on 205/40/17s, they dont seme to last very long but the grip is great! just the price that puts me off. I replaced these with Pirelli P700s and they kept the car more stable and still gave the car loads of grip. They seem to last longer as well.
Currently Im using cheapo...
if you run the sub with the arse out, its mainly for looks. remember, subs work on the principle of moving air, you have more surface area on the front of the sub than the rear.
you will need to reverse the polarity of the subs, so that it still uses the box for the airspace, as this is what...
if it extends the bumper, then theres less air going underneath the car, thus causing a decrease in air pressure under the car. this makes the car stick to the road better. however its probably only noticeable at over 130mph lol.
if you need to build the box slightly smaller, then you can mount the sub with the magnet facing outwards as you dont have to take into account the magnet displacement in the box. however, the surface area of the face of the sub is normally greater than the underneath of it, so it may not be as...
yup, the sound pressure in the boot wouldnt change if they werent in phase. it would be like having infinite baffle (try running your subs with the boot open and youll get the idea)
IN PHASE is when both subs move in and out together at the same time, provided both the subs are mounted the same way ie magnets are in the box.
OUT OF PHASE is when one sub moves in, whilst the other moves out. this can cause cancelling. again, only applies when the subs are mounted the same...
i know its very temping to just change your speakers for better quality ones, but you wont notice much of an improvement, and sometimes they will sound worse. basically if you use the amp built into the head unit, cheap and chearful speakers are probably best, as they dont require much power to...
lol good idea! so how many people have actually taken their dash out? is it really a matter of a few screws or is there more? also is there any way i can just lift one side out at a time instead?
Hi all, just signed up now!
Anyways, Ive got some components running off a separate amp in the front doors. Problem is, I need to move the new tweeters to underneath the dash where the oe tweeters are. Any ideas how I can take the dash off? Its a 2001 Pre-facelift Clio with a passenger airbag...
