I dont know much about the gen90
Does it have the same features of the omex like traction control, full throttle gearshifts and launch?
Can anyone map it or is it lock to supplier?
Correct. It also about cracking where the information is stored in the ECU which can take Hours.
From a business point if view unless your going to map 15-20+ Clios with R26 injectors, its not worth the effort.
I'd imagine they were if the standard can timing marks were used!
Inlet manifolds and cam timing have been very over looked with this whole argument.
I'm sure I could get more from 197/RS2 but the time and money wouldn't make it viable.
Na that ones mine! There's 2 other cars with this same spec that I'm waiting to get on the dyno as well. Hopefully soon the 200+ club will be flooded with lots of members.
Injector will make next to no difference!
You should be doing your test with them unplugged if you were going about it the textbook way.
I wouldn't be worried about that. 170psi plus is no where near low enough to cause a misfire.
That's exactly why I use Surrey Rolling Road.
They have no interest whatsoever in fudging the figures as they are no way linked to me. I just show up, pay my money and they dyno the car! Charlie literally couldn't give 2 hoots what the figure is.
They also have a Dyno Dynamics rolling road...
I'm sorry mate! With the garbage people have already splattered around in this thread, its hard to know what to take literally and what to take as light humour.
For a start that graph isn't on the same dyno!
Also it's not on the same car! We all know how much the figures differ on these engines.
As standard my car made a peak torque of 127lb and 168 Bhp.
There is no where my car has lost at all over standard.
A 172 is a good car! Why doesn't the entire world own one???
It's all down to application. If its a track car, I wouldn't recommend the RS2 to anyone. But for a road car, with occasional track use, I don't think there's a better spec than RS2/197.
Ill repeat this point for the 10th time this...
We must be looking at a different graph! The graph I'm looking at tails below 150lb at 6.6k which on an engine that can easily rev another 1000rpm more than that is disappointing. Especially on track!
