Chips given a perfect example. With this new information people should now understand why peak torque is relatively useless to brag about on a forum with and why the RS2 having such a supposed "flat and boring" torque curve is actually epic!
Mine will be 197/Rs2 till Saturday!
After that the same engine on the same dyno will have 438's and bodies and we can see if the extra £1500-£2000 is worth it! :)
It certantly didnt make that standard in my car, I think the time millege is starting to kill the old girl! It made 168bhp standard in my little ph1 lol
I'm in discussion with James at the moment about a possible group buy!
It would need a NON REFUNDABLE deposit and at least 10 people. But that would include PH1 or PH2 kits.
Chip loves to give anyway a passenger ride! And if anyone gets the offer, Take it!! Chip has worked wonders perfecting our little throw together test bed!
I've just got my hands on a Clio DCI. It needed a new engine, new turbo and new injectors.
Now I've got it running spot on I have to say I'm thrilled to bits with it. From passing my test 7 years ago I've always had sporty cars and I intended to get this going and to sell it but its staying...
No mate! In the engine with the piston with one bit missing, it idled very very slightly lumpy and drive spot on! No smoke nothing! It was just slightly down on power!
I have no doubt that they will be totally fine! But when buying a car with a misfire it's always worth a quick compression test to rule this out! Here's another one I found recently.
Have you ever pushed the pistons out and looked! They run spot on like that. (Only drop by about 20/30psi on a comp test) You only normally know there's an issue when you try and get more power out of them.
Never any bore damage tho!
