mine would jump....... but only after having it connected to a running car's battery for around 10 mins before hand.
any sooner than that and it just said no.
dead battery is my guess.
Mine was doing this until I replaced the battery last week.
failing that, it could be an earth strap, that would give similar symptoms.
If you're bowling down a country lane at night, no street lights, and a single headlight is coming at you, especially if it's nearside, you don't expect it to be a clio (although after being on this forum a few years I should know better) you expect a motorbike.
they're not actually allowed to interfere with the car once the MOT has begun.
sometimes they do, but on the off chance mr VOSA is watching over their shoulder, it's not worth their grief for your problem.
glad to hear it's passed now.
edit: mis-read your post (im getting good at that lately)...
Re: Archived Post from old forum
holy thread bump batman!!
so far every post you've made has been a shot at k-tec! it's like a broken record.
I get you have a problem with them, but jeez!
Does anyone know where I can get a set of the blanks for the non-belt side of the camshafts?
Just ordered a belt kit ready for next weekends fun task and it doesn't include them.
just to balance it,
I've used k-tec on multiple occasions for both my clio and megane, and never had an issue with them or their service (although they can be pricey on some items)
don't know much about the 182 style exhaust though.
It's all meant in light hearted manner.
I'm currently running the same induction system as you, with the K TEC cnc'd inlet manifolds and 182 exhaust manifold, looking to decat it in the next month or so and all the bits are sat there, but I think yours is probably making more power than mine as...
I couldn't smash it through the gears even if I wanted to, poxy French unreliable hunk of turd.
and.....
you'll notice post #2 is mine, I have the same set up as you anyways!
cranks sensor / flywheel sensor?
my old megane would turn over for hours with no joy. wiggle the sender, it'd fire straight up.
edit: just seen its not turning, ignore me.
sounds like a dropped connection somewhere
just need to start with a low number and work upwards, keep them wet and clean them between each paper grade.
takes time and patience, but you'll be able to save them.
no one?
Will these be the seals/gaskets i'm after?
Just want to make sure I've got all bases covered before I pull the head off.

Does anyone have the part no's for the cam seals?
Also need to know the number for the seal / gasket between the head and the block?
Am having the belts done, so getting an oil leak solved at the same time.
Update:
all sorted, no idea what the problem was, but its now solved with no additional parts.
I removed the new coilpack,
unbolted the plenum
removed all ht leads.
removed all plugs
disconnected and removed all injectors
degreased all injectors.
re-assembled
worked spot on!
