Hi all,
Here is my Clio Turbo that is on eBay... All info within.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2004-Renault-Clio-172-SPORT-225-Megane-Turbo-Conversion-182-230-Track-car-CUP-/253045848237?
'Just' another 172 this time. :D
Ebay really is difficult for some people, why do they not understand! Really frustrating!
I might put up photos of the new Clio tomorrow, I've owned it 3 weeks already but haven't seen it since we picked it up as it was a bit broken.
Should be all done now :)...
Well the winning bidder collected the car this evening, a young lady in her 20s! That I didn't predict!
Had a Bravo 1.2 as her first car and fancied another to use as an occasional car. Happy days.
And you're right Steve, it wasn't impossible to find but if you search for vehicles like I...
Bahahahaha, you're right! The dash looks better with the 'airbag pack'.
Left at around 7pm and didn't get home until 5 in the morning! Bloody M4 was shut :<
Here's a clue...

Thank you sir.
The Cup spoiler was on my list for a long time but always thought it would be too costly to buy and paint, until this one came along :)
I felt like this was the only LY left without one haha
The original young lady that ordered the car was obviously only interested in paint...
About time I updated this again I guess.
Really enjoying the car, as I said last time I'm so pleased I held onto it. OK, it keeps needing work and is slowly bleeding me dry but this is quite normal as we know :P
First time I go to wash it after getting it out of the garage and it starts...
Well the Bravo will be offered for sale shortly, it has to go!

Yes, I finally have this car out of hibernation!
The MOT was due on the Fiat 20/04 but sadly I've had to let it expire due to the fact that last weekend I was changing the rear brake discs and pads but the caliper was...
I know it's not the only one (surely) but I've never seen another without a Cup spoiler.
I have been keeping an eye out for one but I'm only prepared to buy one at the bottom of the market as I'll have to paint it obviously. :P
You can safely bet I will
A, it's something to do.
B, I care about any car that comes my way.
C, I respect it's a really rare car now and needs preserving.
But, it will be for sale in a few months time
Some people eh? Made a small profit at the end of my torture too so wasn't too bad.
Just realised I made an error in this thread with the cost of the Fiat, it actually works out at £130-140 not £150-160 lol bargain

I know right, I couldn't believe it myself when I discovered the 182, really made me laugh. I'll put a photo up in the next couple of days.
Oh no, the Golf was worth a few quid, just so difficult to sell as it had issues. You know what people are like, the advert had the problems listed and it...
My reason for considering selling it is that I just don't enjoy seeing it get all dirty and subjected to the bad weather etc hence why I'm about to stop using it.
If I was to sell it I think I would regret it but I already have 3 cars I refuse to sell, looks like this has became the 4th keeper...
No update in over 2 months? Crikey, I'm still here
Not a great deal has happened with the car tbh other than the miles racking up. In fact, hit a magic number last weekend
LY 182 123456 miles! by AcidicDavey, on Flickr
I'm such a saddo :tongueout:
Also noticed the rear number...
Wow, no update in over a month, let's change that :)
Not a lot has happened, hence the lack of updates, just enjoying the car and keeping it clean.
Lost a rear tyre to a screw, went to get it repair but it turned out the inside wall was missing a chunk as if it had struck a kerb, must have...
Painted my dash trim to match the car, you know, just in case I forget it's yellow!

Cheers mate, I love it too. I get bored of cars easily but 2 months in and it's no for sale yet so that's a big sign of love for me haha
It's treating me well so far so it certainly deserves it bless it.
Thanks, it looks simply stunning in certain light!
Cheers dude.
You are quite right sir...
Over the weekend I finally fully detailed my little french fancy
All in all a very long but worthwhile task! About 12-15 bloody hours!
My process for those that care...
- Wash with Bilt Hamber Auto Wash Shampoo using two bucket method and two Kent 2-in-1 Wash Mitts,
- De-tar'd using...
It's something I'm considering but it drives so well on the Eibach Pro-kits (or whatever they are called) that I'm a bit hesitant.
My last one was on Apex springs and it did look the part but in comparison to this it drove like crap!

I tend to agree with you if I'm honest, I'd much prefer original diamonds but these'll do until I can sort something out.
I quite like the bullets to be honest but I'll listen to any suggestions?
Maybe they'd look better if they were colour matched to the wheels? But saying that the text is...
Dead easy to fit, a cable tie (which is supplied) secures it to the gearstick and it obviously just clips to the console. Simply slide the rear section into place and push down the front clip by the ashtray. It's obvious when it's in your hand.
And cheers, I'm not convinced yet on the caps!
They're the black Eibachs, the ones that provide the smallest drop, basically cup spec height.
Just read your thread update, I think if I'm going to take you up on your offer of a ride it better be soon :P
Cheers mate.
This car does deserve that treatment but it drives so well as it is currently on Eibach Pro-kit springs I'm a bit worried about spoiling it, my 172 on Apex springs was awful compared to this one! I do keep mulling it over.
I may get some spacers then decide if I need to lower it...
Yeah that's a genuine one straight from my local dealer (Callow Marsh), part number is 8200 071 449. £14.71 including VAT omes complete with that lower fitting frame. They had to order it in and wait for 2 days.
Mine had been glued in as someone had broken them clips by trying to remove it...
^^^Hey! That's how I park too usually :tongueout:
Anyway, I set about sorting out the typical plastic headlight problem last week. They had started to go at the top, they were worse than they photographed here.

Easy to swap really, took less than 30 minutes going carefully. Makes such a difference
Don't need a bluetooth jobby me so that sold on eBay for over £55 after costs, result! (As this thread continues you'll all soon realise I'm a tight arse!)
The stereo I put in still has dual AUX and...
To be fair I'm quite a wonky chap so I probably should have a wonky car hahaha!
Needs to be sorted, got some more sticky pads, (hateful things) so I'll reapply it when I've got a second pair of eyes to hand. Tempted to put it on with Velcro tbh so then I can guarantee it's right but knowing my...
Cheers mate, I was genuinely shocked when I got a response as it pissed down not long after I put the note on his (my) screen.
Ta, I got my keyring from eBay, paid 99p including P+P from Bulgaria!
I'm pleased to convert you :)
Some people eh? :P
Cheers, it certainly does scrub up nicely...
I made a start on the centre caps as they were painted the wrong colour when the wheels were refurbished (go figure).
I hate the look of the car without caps on but look at these!
